| From mmamania... "That is a horrible fight for me. I have trained with his brother a little bit, so he already has the 'inside scoop' on me, he's a southpaw, has got a good chin, and has good power. Plus he is pretty solid on the ground. The only place I would have an advantage would be wrestling... and my wrestling is not that good. So yeah, that’s a tough match up for me. I'd do it, if that’s what they wanted, but being straight up, there are other guys I'd rather fight."Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin tells MMASportsMag he isn't exactly warm and fuzzy over his planned match up against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira UFC 113 event from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on May 8. Perhaps Griffin is still a little weary of Brazilians after the clobbering he took against Anderson Silva last year -- is it that a loss to "Lil' Nog" could send him tumbling down the 205-pound rankings? Unfortunately there is very little margin for error in this division. Where does Forrest rank before and after the Nogueira fight? http://www.mmamania.com/2010/1/29/1283153/lil-nogueira-is-a-horrible-fightScratch my comments about him having a shot if he goes into this fight with zero confidence. Not sure I've ever heard Forrest sound this concerned about a fight... Not even entering the fight against Anderson! | |

| Sorry LA... Only a 5 minute gap of spare time to read and drop. I didn't have time to weed through existing threads but rather just looked to see if the thread had been created. Delete it if everyone pertinent is commenting in the other thread... | |

| I'd have to hear the tone he's saying it to really gave what it means. Before the Shogun fight he basically said Shogun was better than him in all aspects but then again he asked for Shogun and thought he could beat him then did.
I think Forrest is bigger, as fast, and could beat him in the clinch. I don't count Forrest out of this one if he comes in confident. But then again he does make very good points against himself. Anderson very well could have broken Forrest's spirit. He has seemed different since that pounding.

| It will be as bad because in this fight he will get koed in the 1st minute. He is done before this 1 even starts. | |

| Nog's hands are faster because he is a better athlete and that is compounded by the fact his boxing is so much more crisper. This will look like a mismatch if they start boxing farmer. | |

| How could this work out good for Gump? Of course all hardcore MMA fans know who medium sized Nog and his big bro is and recognize them as great fighters, but the normal dumbass that goes to bars to watch the fights won't know who the fuck Nog is. Gump is at least 3 fights away from a title shot so that prolly isn't a motivation for him. He wants to fight a name, and fighting someone like Chuck or Wandy would be better for him at this point. I actually liked the fight because I don't like Forrest but because he's crying about it Dana will prolly give him a turd he could easily beat. The more important thing to consider now is who's Nog gonna fight? He's actually legit. | |

True, because Lil Nog isn't as good as Anderson. Nog would have to be a lot worse for Forrest to have a chance IMO. Anderson toyed with Forrest

| Lil Nog is going to send Forrest to sleep. This is a horrible match up for him. |

| It will depend on whether or not Forrest can stay out of range long enough to get those leg kicks going. If he gets into a rythim with those tree choppers he could very well have a chance here. Thats if his confidance isn't blown to shit already anyway. | |

If Randy and Coleman are fighting for a title shot, how far is Forrest really? Wins over Ortiz and Nog would make him at the most one fight away. Especially if Shogun and Rampage win their fights. The LHW division title picture would be set until at least Christmas. There would be a lot of bankable rematches between those three.

| Still seems like they would only mention Couture/Coleman winner might get title shot only to boost viewers for what is perceived as a weak main card for 109. I don't wanna be that kind of shocked if they actually to that. | |
