Snowman v. Pee Wee in the works...

I know that Herman is really untested... But Monson has been very inconsistent over the last couple of years, historically "struggles" with much taller opponents that can keep him at arms length and off the ground, keeps talking about dropping the juice and HGH to make a move to LHW a slim possibility and is still the very definition of one dimensional... I'm calling my shot early and saying I'd take Pee Wee in the upset...

Dave Herman beating Monson would be far from an upset.

From a rankings standpoint it is... Monson hangs around the 15 spot on most sheets that go beyond 10 while Herman is absent altogether on almost anything I've seen. You're right though that I wouldn't consider it too much of an upset in all reality... I think it will be an interesting fight though...

Herman fell out of 25 lists after the loss but there was a time they were ranked similarly and Herman if anything is better now that he was then, and the Snowman is the Snowman.

I am not digging through rankings but during PeeWees elitexc days he was in the top 25 in some places, and this was during a time where Monson's biggest profile fight was a loss to Ricco for the art of war title.


I certainly had Dave higher.


Anyway when it comes to random top 25 fighters rankings usually mean shit anyway. Jeff Monson isn't that great and is as good as he will ever get, Herman is a prospect with ten times the ceiling, more athleticism and explosiveness. Anyone who watches MMA knows that.

At the same time, who has Herman faced? Monson will be his toughest fight yet

That's valid LA. Dave I've always thought a lot of but if he doesn't do well here I'd be less likely to tune in for his next fight.
