No doubt, he is a threat to GSP. But, GSP is past his less experienced days and he knows what to do to beat him easily. Takedown and it's all over.

Hardy's stand up is way underrated. I'd go out on a limb and say its the best at WW. I want to see them stand up.

For some reason I see GSP subbing Hardy

I hope GSP stands just to send a message. Then subs him after a knockdown

I think GSP wins easily, but if this is a boxing match then I may take Hardy. He's been working with Freddie roach. He outboxed Marcus Davis, a former boxer. He was quicker than Mike 'Quick" Swick on the feet. He even showed some great KO power vs Markham.

Hardy I thing is a challenge for GSP if he keeps the fight standing. If it hits the floor he is in trouble.

Could Hardy when if he caught GSP like Serra of course but we all know(even Hardy) GSP is only gonna strike with him to set up the takedown and that will be the end of the Hardy hype train. But I think GSP could out strike him if he chose to do so.

Greg Jackson is a humble, respectful guy. You'll never hear him discredit a fighter, especially if that fighter can use it as bulletin board material against his fighter.

Make no mistake, this is going to be GSP's easiest test since an undersized BJ decided it would be a good idea to move up to 170. Hardy can't keep it standing if BJ can't, it's gonna be a beatdown of epic proportions. I can't wait.

hardy does not scare anyone at 170, Not saying he isnt skilled or good but He wouldnt strike fear in the weight class. Its not like alves with his explosive kicks or gsp with his groin shots and unlimited gas tank to go along with world class wrestling and good standup.

we know hardy is a strong 170 and he has some good standup. A contender yes a title shot?

On the topic at hand though, Dan Hardy has the best boxing of anyone GSP has faced besides BJ Penn. This does pose an interesting set of what if's, with at least the plausability of the Hardy upset. BJ did out box GSP once for a round, and Serra was able to crack his defense.

It all depends on how well Hardy can be patient. If he comes forward, he will eat karate based counters or just get taken down. Hardy will have to make GSP the aggressor. Problem is, GSP has never just waded in throwing punches. This isn't Wanderlei Silva.

I suspect GSP has a more rounded toolkit of strikes, better timing and better speed/athleticism to go along with his unstoppable takedowns, but with GSP, the spectre of Matt Serra will probably always haunt him going into any fight. There is always a "you never know" factor with him.

On the flipside, maybe that fight will just haunt his opponents, who will veiw it and attempt to replicate it over and over, playing right into GSP's hands...

Easy fight for GSP. The best GnP guy in all of MMA vs a guy with a totally unproven ground game ='s beatdown.

I agree i see a GSP subbing him by Kimura 2nd round
