| Flo is my pick on the GOR. But my pick is in part based off my belief that Flo has a reach advantage. But a couple guys on the ESPN board(I know, an awful source for info) we're saying that Penn has the reach advantage. Anyone got an official tale of the tape? | |

http://www.myvideofight.com/UFC/Sean-Sherk-vs-Frankie-Edgar-UFC-98-Video Wow I would have thought the difference was much more then that. That fight should have won Penn an award for Best Use of the Jab in an MMA Fight. I loved that fight.

| Reach is a good stat to use for boxers or MMA fighters that use boxing as their standup style. Kenny is a Muay thai guy and his reach is not a big factor seeing as he favors kicks and the clinch. Actually on the ground those longer arms may be a weekness seeing how you have bj on his back with that much more limb to grab on too. | |

Kenny's a great boxer as well as muay thai guy. That's what makes him so dangerous, he's good from range and in the clinch. He has one of the best boxing coaches out there right now in Peter Welch, he uses angles excellently, he has great hands, he has great head movement, and he has an excellent jab. Reach is definitely important in this fight.

Reach is definitely important in this fight. Plus with reach(with kick's as well as punches) Florian may have the advantage from distance, with an excellent clinch game, Flo may have the advantage when the fight is tight. Penn may have to find that middle ground comfort zone. Vs Huerta Flo showed that he uses the reach very well. I know Penn is not Huerta, but let's not act like the reach advantage is not significant.

| Reach is hella important in all MMA fights. Brock landed that shot on Randy that he clearly saw coming because he has a 304 inch reach.
bloodyelbow had one of those big dumb write ups after Sherk lost to Edgar about the problems with his striking. All bunk. If he had 74 inches of reach he'd be a ko artist with his current skill set everything being equal. This is MMA, not boxing.
