| Cornelius “K-9″ Bundrage (29-4, 17 KOs), of Detroit, Michigan will face IBF junior middleweight champion Cory “The Next Generation” Spinks (37-5, 11 KOs), of St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, March 6, at a site to be determined, most likely in Las Vegas. Bundrage last fought to a no-contest last June 27 with Yuri Foreman in Atlantic City. Foreman suffered a cut in the third round from an accidental clash of heads, and could not continue. Foreman went on to win the WBA version of the crown with an impressive performance against Daniel Santos. It is only fitting that Bundrage is getting his long-awaited title shot as well. “Yuri Foreman looked pretty good in his fight against Santos,” said K-9. “He looked pretty sharp, but I have to take some of the credit for that because I was the last one to fight him.” Bundrage trains at the new Kronk Gym in Detroit under the guidance of Javen “Sugar” Hill. “He is the same trainer that I had when I was on The Contender,” he said. Ranked number-two in the IBF, with the top spot being vacant, Bundrage credits manager Emanuel Steward for helping him secure his mandatory shot. “Manny helped me by talking to the IBF,” he said. “Darryl Lattimore will fight Sechew Powell for the number one spot, and will become the mandatory for the winner of me and Cory Spinks.” “The junior welterweights and middleweights are the hottest divisions in boxing right now,” continued K-9. “We’re carrying boxing right now. It’s time for the little people to make some money!” K-9 Bundrage lives in Detroit with his wife and two young children, sons Daishaun, eight, and two-month-old Omnae. http://www.fightnews.com/?p=34922 |

| I just like slick boxers, I became a HUGE fan when he outboxed the living shit out of Ricardo Mayorga after Mayorga talked a whole heap of shit about Spinks recently deceased mother
People dont want to admit it. But Spinks was the Best fighter at 147 for a time period, the best at 154 for a time period and 1 bullshit decision away from being the man at middleweight gotta respect that

| I've never heard anyone call the JT-Spinks fight a bullshit decision before. That's pretty interesting. Let's not forgot that Spinks was also the beneficiary of a couple hometown decisions considering he always fought in St. Louis. I can't stand Spinks personally. I think it all started during that Mayorga fight when everytime Mayorga would get inside and start to rough him up the ref would instantly jump in and break it. It was probably the most frustrating thing ever especially since Ricardo was coming off two huge wins | |

| Well Ricardo was headbutting, elbowing, and hitting on the break and end of round basically every round so ref got fed up in my opinon
Spinks did fight in St Louis alot and got benefit of doubt vs Karmazin, I really just think if you go move up and hold the Middleweight Champion to 7 punches landed per round and rock him and control where the fight was fought at and when action is initiated you win.
It was close, I just thought some of those scores were fucking ridiculous
Plus Spinks always just seemed like a nice guy to me so I liked him
