Bellator PPV estimated at 65,000 buys

Earlier this month Bellator made it's first foray into PPV with Bellator 120: Rampage vs. Lawal. The event was scheduled to be headlined by a trilogy match with Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler, that is until Alvarez was injured.

Quinton Jackson defeated King Mo in a lack luster affair in the main event and Michael Chandler was upset by late replacement Will Brooks in the co-main. Bellator President Bjorn Rebney had remarked that 50,000 buys would be a break even for the company, and the early reports are that they had slightly surpassed that mark:

Not bad for their first ever ppv.

Sherdog is reporting over 100,000 buys for this ppv on their front page.

A pleasant surprise. I hope it's a sign of things to come, UFC hasn't won the war against MMA yet.

Best card I've watched this year. I think thats pretty strong for a first ppv, but it was stacked for their roster.

Any profit is good business in this game.

if 50,000 broke them even i wonder what their initial goal was. If this broke 100,000 they've gotta be pleased though.
