Following his release from the UFC last month, many were wondering which promotion Melvin Guillard would offer his services to. Now it appears he has officially signed a multi-fight contract with Wold Series of Fighting.
Bleacher Report broke the news on Monday evening.
"The Young Assassin" was released from his UFC contract following a unanimous decision loss to Michael Johnson back at UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa. Guillard went 12-9 (1 NC) inside the octagon, yet has not managed consecutive wins since July 2011. He holds notable victories over Jeremy Stephens, Dennis Siver, Gleison Tibau and Evan Dunham.
While the terms of his contract were not revealed, it appears that Guillard is excited about the prospect of making "real money."
