Mayweather will fight Maidana

Maidana is coming off his win vs broner but Floyd is a totally different beast. I think Floyd's defense and speed will be to much for Maidana but I'm still interested .

I'll watch but I don't think Maidana will put up a better fight than Canelo. Of course I thought Canelo was gonna hold close so what do I know? I'll watch either way

i don't think there's any doubt that in the car park, without gloves, officials or floyd hangers on with guns, maidana fucks mayweather up bad 99 times out of 100. with gloves and rules however, mayweather beats maidana 99 times out of 100.

i actually think the khan fight would've been much more interesting as he can match floyd for speed and floyd isn't the sort of fighter likely to expose khans chin.

Floyd is going to beat Maidana the way he beats everyone and by the end of the fight Maidana will have that same puzzled look on his face thinking damn I just could never get off and hit this guy!

The fix is in. Compubox stats suggest Floyd landed 230 power shots, a stat which is clearly fabricated.

Floyd landed flashier shots but Maidana landed more shots, the fight was fought largely on Maidanas terms and Floyd held like a bitch all night with the ref only ever warning Maidana for it.

The judge who scored it a draw judged it more accurately than the two that gave Floyd wide decisions. I'm not saying Maidana won, but it would've been close if Golden Boy didn't have two judges boxed off.

I thought it was a great fight but Floyd was the clear cut winner. I also had it 116-112 and thought Floyd landed a ton of meaningful power shots. I felt like Maidana threw a lot more but missed most of them.

230 power shots = 1 every 9.4 seconds. That's enough that you would very easily notice all the power shots being landed and I'm guessing you didn't notice all those power shots being landed either.

Floyd spent long stretches of the fight on the ropes where Maidana landed a lot of body shots and more clean head shots than i can remember seeing anyone land on Mayweather for a long time. i thought Maidana did a decent job roughhousing in the clinch and Mayweathers continual grabbing on and bending over so the only shots available to Maidana were to the back of the head were exactly the sort of tactics David Haye was globally ridiculed for (and rightfully so) against Wladimir Klitschko.

If you're one of those judges who goes by the old adage of deciding which guy you'd least like to have been and giving the round to the other guy, you could make a decent case for Maidana winning. The 9-3 scorecard was a disgrace.

A power shot is classified as anything other then a jab.

i may have over reacted a bit,

i had it 7-5 to floyd but when i started hearing 9-3 scorecards my first thought was 'if you were the GOAT you wouldn't need judges in your pocket'.

if floyd got knocked down in a round i can't help thinking he'd still be awarded it 8-7 and i don't see why he should get the sugar ray leonard treatment in as much as any round that's close automatically is awarded his way..... 100% of the time without it ever being questioned.

Floyd definitely is getting older and losing alittle but I think though. That hurts me to say that but he gets hot far more than he ever has before.
