| With the All Star break upon us already I'm just wondering what people's views are on the game. Is it a treat for the fans, a waste of time, just a fun exhibition or what ? And how many of you actually watch the game and enjoy it? | |

| I think the game can be good, if the score is close and there are real killers out there.
Hence, not many great games these years. It takes a certain type of baller to inspire the other superstars to actually play, I mean really play, in these games and those types of personalities are less and less in the NBA. Guys like Kobe and KG are done and few guys emanate the type of competitive intensity past league leaders did.
I think the last great All Star game was 2002, Jordan's last year. The first half og the game was fun, but the second half and the two overtimes were something special, the type of all star game almost every year people wish would unfold. Guys were playing.
I'm not real into the all star game anymore like I was in the 90's. It was such a high plateau at that time, so many incredible superstars, today's game lacks that buzz the game used to posses. | |

| There isn't much sports on that night anyways so why not check it out. I'm slowly getting away from watching the walking dead. | |

| I always watch it but don't take it seriously. I think they should make the conference that wins this game gets home court advantage in the finals. | |

| I think in basketball it's different especially this season. Indiana could finish with the best record yet the East is so pathetic. | |

| But it goes in spurts. East sucks now but in 2 years east could be the best again. | |

| I normally don't watch all star weekend but I'm waiting for the fights and so far it's been pretty entertaining. I just bet $30 on Curry to win the 3-point shoot out. If I win I win $55 so I'm giving it a shot. | |

| First half was pretty good. West squad put up the most points ever in a half by an All Star Team. Pretty impressive. | |

| Nothing about the all-star game is impressive when no one is playing defense. | |

| I totally disagree. The game is for the fans to showcase talent and they definitely did that . | |

| If they were playing defense and they were still able to do that then that would be real skill. | |

| All star games are the one game when defense doesn't matter. It's like that in all sports. | |

| To me sport is useless if both sides aren't trying to win. | |

| I stopped watching early, it wasn't a basketball game so it wasn't very interesting. | |

| I thought it was very interesting but I take it for what it is. I don't turn it on expecting a defensive struggle. | |
