| Promotion Raises PPV Price For UFC 168 Read more at http://www.bjpenn.com/promotion-raises-ppv-price-for-ufc-168/#ocy18Qlb1cEDooa3.99Do you have an extra $5? If you’re interested in watching the star-studded UFC 168 on Dec. 28th from the comfy confides of your own home that’s what it’ll cost you. It was announced on Wednesday that the cost for UFC 168, which features the eagerly anticipated rematch between current champion Chris Weideman and Anderson Silva for the UFC middleweight belt in the main event and the women’s bantamweight title bout between title-holder Ronda Rouse and Miesha Tate in the co-main, will cost a little bit more. The UFC had previously set their pay-per-view prices at $44.99 for standard definition and $54.99 for high definition, but it will be raising the price by at least $5. UFC president Dana White had previously said he would never raise the PPV price, as he told MMA Fighting in March of 2009. “I’ll f**king go on record right now and say I will not raise pay-per-view. I won’t do it,” White said. “The UFC is a cheap night at home. It’s a cheap night of entertainment.” So is the bump in price fair or foul? Will it sway your decision in ordering UFC 168? | |
