| Who should he fight?
A stupid Jon takes an immediate fight with Cain and gets his shit pushed in.
A smart Jon calls out a former champ on the decline (IE Silva/Griffin) such as Frank Mir, and probably takes the W.
I'd like to see him get a fight with Barnett.
And for the record I think Jones will lose in one of his next two LHW fights, derailing his heavyweight hype.

| And if this has been posted before, I apologize. The state of this once active forum has been kind of depressing so I am attempting to help out. | |

| Glover, DC, Gus, Cain.... Jones would be lucky to get one win against these four. | |

I don't think he'd be lucky at all. He will destroy Glover. |

| i understand why fighters look to get opponents with names they think they can match up well against and build hype, but i find it increasingly depressing when the fans get on board with that. fans should want to see the best fights happening tomorrow.
this is the fault of that fucking clown mayweather and his army of moronic fans. mayweather blatantly denies the fans the top p4p fights and charges them top dollar for mismatches and not only do the cunts happily pay through the nose but they fanatically defend his right to rip them off and make cunts of them in such a manner.
if jones is what he and his fans claim him to be, why piss about with mir or gonzaga? get straight in there with velasquez and prove you're gods gift to fighting. what kind of cunt would pay $100 or however much it is to watch jones headline a PPV against pat barry for fucks sake?

| You see Jones fighting down the card against anyone Freak?
A heavyweight fight against anyone other than JDS or cain is an excercise only in lining peoples pockets at the expense of the fans, and unless Jones is wasting his cash on diamond encrusted bentleys he doesn't need to worry about 'feeding his family'.
Therefore, any of the fights mentioned serve no purpose other than taking food out of your families mouth.

Therefore, any of the fights mentioned serve no purpose other than taking food out of your families mouth. What about testing the waters at a new weight class? We saw Anderson do it with Irvin, as well as with guys like Lee Murray and Jorge Rivera in Cage Rage. To expect a fighter, even a top level fighter, to enter a completely new division and just square off with one of the top two in that division right off the bat is insanity. I've been and still am someone who very much dislikes Jones as a person and to some extent as a fighter for some of his antics in the cage and most of them outside of it, but to say anyone not named Dos Santos or Velasquez being his first fight at Heavyweight being a way to take food out of your family's mouth is pretty dumb. Nobody makes anyone buy a PPV.

| Jones doesn't deserve a HW title shot, not when he doesn't even deserve to have the LHW belt. We have 2 uncrowned Champions in the UFC that outperformed the guys currently holding the belts. It's a moronic concept that the challenger has to finish or dominate in order to take the title. If you win the fight that night, you should be the Champion.
Also writing off Glover against Jones is just ignorant.

| There was like one person in the media who scored that fight for Gus. Game effort, but he lost as he soon as he got rocked in the 4th round | |

| Jones is the guy that says he would whop Ritchie Incognito's as one day and that his brother would smash Cain's ass the next. Jones deserves to be embarrassed by Cain. You douche it up enough, you earn that. And embarrassed is what this pussy would get. | |

| Anyone that thinks a prima Donna like job jones will step right into a pile of shit and fight Cain Velasquez is wrong. The dude wouldn't even fight Gus again. He talks mad shit and arrogant as hell, but I don't see Dana letting the "face" of the company get ktfo by the best fighter in the world. Jon will receive a tune-up and it will be against a former champ on the decline. Bet. | |
