| Thompson vs Melendez was one of the most action packed fights I've ever seen. That is the kind of shit they need to get on CBS. If that was on Network TV you would get fans by the droves. | |

| Awesome fight.
Gilbert Melendez has improved big time now that he does not try to bull rush everybody anymore.

| That fight was up there with Henderson-Cowboy, Torres-Mizugaki and Henderson-Varner as fight of the year. That Guida Sanchez fight was nice but wasn't in this league. | |

| Definitely an awesome fight. Thomson made the mistake of brawling with Melendez a few times. He doesn't have the power that Gilbert has and that was evident Saturday night. | |

| If Thompson gets active and gets 1 or two fights under his belt in next half year, he comes back and finishes Melendez. | |

| Yeah, I think THomson went into this fight feeling like he couldn't win. The time off I think killed his confidence. In a year, he could take Gil. He's a better wrestler than Gil and his stand-up is usually sharper, but it wasn't Saturday -- my guess is ring rust.
Gil said that he could beat anyboyd in the UFC. Anyone agree? I just think BJ would squash those guys in addition to anyone else at 155.

| I think a peak Thompson against Melendez in a year would look like a BJ vs Sanchez fight with the dominance being at an 8 out of 10 instead of 11 out of 10 though. | |

| Thomson definitely dominated him in the first match. Melendez is good, though, I don't think Thomson will dominate him like that again. I think the third match will be close. Love watching Thomson fight, though. He's so active and isn't afraid to brawl. | |

| Great fight I loved every second of it. I like both fighters but they def wouldn't be top LW's in the ufc imo | |

| While people have merit in wanting the UFC to import more challenges from outside the promotion, I see these guys as the same class as Florian, Sherk, Sanchez and anyone else at the weight BJ squashes. | |

Melendez came back like a true warrior. That fight was great as were a few from both shows Saturday night.
