Wondering what your opinion is on these 2. I think it's obvious that im with the crowd saying they are heroes, whistle blowers of government abuse of power, wrong doings and cover-ups. But there seems to be plenty of different takes on this.

For those who aren't familiar with the details...

Bradley Manning has been convicted in Military court of 15 different charges including espionage and up to 136 years in prison for releasing the viral video "Collateral Murder - Iraq", published by wikileaks. The video is footage from a military helicopter murdering a group of Iraqi civilians, including 2 Forbes journalists, and then shooting up the van that came to help them, shooting 2 little children in the process. All done with a chilling coldness and detachment from reality by the shooters.

Edward Snowden is now being granted asylum in Russia, but the U.S. is far from happy about it. Snowden is of course the former NSA employee who leaked documents proving that the NSA is literally spying on every move you make, phone calls, emails, facebook chats, web browsing history, all of it and swept up in broad spying programs known as XKeyscore. http://techcrunch.com/2013/07/31/nsa-project-x-keyscore-collects-nearly-everything-you-do-on-the-internet/

Snowden clearly is showing top secret american material to china and russia

Manning released 1,000 of cables on the internet and stayed in country for his trial

i think Manning has a much stronger claim at being a whistleblower than Snowden considering Snowden took some of our most valued material and, no he did not even come close to releasing what he has, he is letting Russia do that for themselves

Snowden is a traitor imo looking for a hook up, claiming to be a whistleblower, if so he would have released all material ala Manning
