HBO gives Carl Froch a choice of four opponents

Out come the excuses for the Ward fight though. I know it wasnt Froch but come on man. That's the least of the 4 i want to see again.

At this point, Bute probably shouldnt hold out for that rematch though. Froch is in a different area code right now. Don't see why he would want it anyway.

i'd rather see a new opponent myself.

i haven't seen anything to suggest a rematch with ward ends any differently and i was suprised with how everyone went overboard after froch/kessler II. i didn't think it was a patch on the first one and i don't see any possibility of a different result if they fought again. i also think froch smashed bute's psyche the way calzaghe did to lacy, it would be sado masochism at it's worst if bute calls in that rematch clause.

i'd much rather see fights against golovkin, chavez, groves, degale etc and is adonis stevenson still due a mandatory? going up and fighting cleverly or even hopkins are also more interesting options imo.

Fuck the Ward fight.  Froch should beat the shit out of Jr and Golovkin.

Yeah nobody is interested in a Ward rematch not even Andre seems keen despite the fact it would be an easy payday for him.

I don't mind a Kessler grudge match that much but I would prefer a fresh opponent for Carl to face.

I am a little surprised they didn't jump at the Hopkins fight, sure Bernard's style would give Carl nightmares but I believe his workrate would prevail in the end.

Either way Hearn should try and convince HBO to show Groves on the undercard because soon enough Froch vs. Groves will be in demand over here.

groves is looking like the most likely opponent at this stage.

should be a good fight but perhaps a year or two too early for groves.
