Looks like Agusta officials might of done a PR shot in the foot today.

14 year old Tianlang Guan got a slow play penalty today which might make him miss the cut. Word on the course is more or less the call was BS, that he and everyone are playing even faster today then they were yesterday despite worsening wind conditions. Two time champion Ben Crenshaw, one of his playing partners said he was, "sick" from the decision.

So much good attention for a good story, now this will be where that attention gets focused.

They talked about this on the radio. I guess they told him when he had 1 hour to go so that he knew to speed up. But he ran out of time on the 17th. But they tried to warn him so he could get through without the penalty. Agusta are real dicks though and you can get banned just for using the wrong terminology even if that terminology is common on other courses. Real uppity kind of place.

Some guy got banned for calling the crowd a "mob". They talked to SVP about it and they have to use the term "patrons". Also I guess they don't have a 18th hold it's the 2nd 9th? Or some crazy shit like that. Some other kind of terms they are suppose to use as well.

The kid took it with class though, good on him.

I guess it's been over 18 years since that particular penalty has been issued at the Masters, good time to dust it off... Excuse me, not the masters, an actual PGA tour event.

I heard a few interviews form other players and other players caddies saying his play was consistent with most of the other players today in terms of time, faster then some.
