| LOL really? Come on son. Be honest. Going over board to save your precious "super fights". The only plus about those things is it would make people shut the fuck up about them. | |

| None of them are out grappling him. The guys who could make a case in that area will be lit up on the feet though and go fluster mode for 23 minutes. There are guys who could hurt him on the feet, but they couldn't stay there long enough to win. Lombard, Franklin and Silva have the best fight for him. | |

You don't think the size and strength of Okami or Sonnen or the athleticism of Jacare would give him problems? Holding down Nick Diaz is one thing but Jacare is much stronger and much more athletic it would be a whole different level of impressiveness right there. I'm sure he could take down Okami and Sonnen but could he keep them there? These guys present problems that GSP has never had to face before in his career. He is rarely, if ever the weaker fighter. Even Vitor would be hard for him to get and hold down. I'm not convinced GSP could beat the elite MWs on a consistent basis and nothing he has faced at WW would prepare him for those challenges. Those guys would be more likely to hurt him standing and get up when put down. It's a big, big challenge. GSP doesn't have the power to hurt any of them or the ability to sub the majority of them.

Sorry it's not worth your time though.

cool story bro. Was it not? Yea you said GSP would have no problems at all with the strength, size or ability of anyone listed. He would hold them all down at will without any problem would outclass them all grappling despite not having the same size and strength advantage he has at WW. He would dominate them just like he did Nick Diaz. By copying your response the second time that is what you are saying. He would domintate the bigger, stronger and more skilled opponents because they aren't any bigger of a threat then the WWs he has already faced. Which I think is just insane.

Which I think is just insane. I essentially said he has the tools to win. You are projecting more into that then what was actually said.

Well when I asked specific questions about how you think he would handle the size, strength and athleticism of those guys and you just re-post the same thing without elaborating IMO you are implying exactly what I said. I asked if he would have any problems and you give me nothing. So I'm left to assume what the fuck you really meant by the specific questions I asked.

| I see now why this "super fight" shit is so popular. GSP is massively overrated as a MW. I guess it is time for you guys to have a reality check. I have no interest in watching Anderson beat the shit out of GSP like I know 100% certain he would do. | |

| If you need specific answers to your questions then okay.
You don't think the size and strength of Okami or Sonnen or the athleticism of Jacare would give him problems? GSP is plenty strong, the strongest? probably not, but being strongest is not the most important tool a fighter can have, talent on the other hand... GSP is the more athletic then Jacare imo. I'm sure he could take down Okami and Sonnen but could he keep them there? Longer then they would to him.

I'm sure he could take down Okami and Sonnen but could he keep them there? Longer then they would to him. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, you seem to be a busy man. Isn't strength a major part of GSP's game? IMO it is. Like I mentioned before he is rarely if ever the weaker man so it's a different challenge. It is absolutely harder to hold down a stronger man then it is to hold down a weaker man of equal skill. Of course it's not the only tool but it is one of the major differences between who he would fight at WW as opposed to who he would fight at MW. I think GSP and Jacare are pretty similar athletically. Also Jacare is a better athlete IMO then just about everyone GSP has fought at WW so facing a athlete similar to himself would be a new problem for GSP IMO. Like I mentioned before I think these MWs present problems for GSP that he hasn't experienced at WW. I'm not near as confident in his style of dominate positioning being as effective vs these larger men since I consider strength to be a major factor in GSP's game.

Really I could see GSP beating both. I probably should have. I don't see either hurting GSP on the feet and I don't see either really holding GSP down longer then GSP will hold them down. Okami has more heart then Sonnen. I think he is harder to break mentally then Chael is. But I should have picked GSP there probably.

| GSP vs Hendricks - gsp has many ways to win, hendricks has a punchers chance GSP vs Rory- i think gsp holds and controls for 5 rds GSP vs Maia- gsp outboxes GSP vs Ellenberger -gsp outboxes and takes down jake when jake rushes forward GSP vs Jacare - again gsp takes standup but if jacre got on top would have advantage GSP vs Sonnen sonnen gets on top at somepoint GSP vs Okami - if okami on top he controls but could be outpointed on feet for 5 rds GSP vs Vitor i think vitor taps that chin GSP vs Franklin dont think gsp could hold franklin down and franklin could hang on feet using reach and stuffing tds and get better position in clinch GSP vs Wanderlei i think gsp would get him down some but in standup wand would march through to land some big shots GSP vs Rockhold- i think rockhold wins much like franklin at 6'3 likely 200 at fight he just too big for gsp to get down or hurt on feet GSP vs Lombard gsp wins on feet not convinced lombard gets ahold of him if gsp uses lots of footwork and volume in 1st GSP vs Spider- bigger wrestlers have failed and standing i think gsp is outmatched.

| i think Chael would 'GSP' gsp. Hold him down, impose his will, probably do way more damage to GSP than he does to his opponents though. Man, i would love to see that, give him a tatse of his own medicine. | |

| just read the rest of the thread
the size of these MWs is the determination . I think gsp walks at 185ish and at 5'11 when he is in kickboxing range some of these guys will be jabbing his face. I also think his tds are going to be less effective against the MWS but its fun to speculate
I have sonnen laying on gsp enough for the win and while I think he is better martial artist then rockhold wand and even franklin i think the size/power would be the deciding factor (size and reach for frankin and rock) wand would be able to deter a td or 2 and eventually flurry
