| I don't see why GSP can't meet Silva at a catchweight. | |

I don't think they should fight but if they do end up fighting the only fair thing is to have it at 178 pounds. |

| It was only brought up because joe said Anderson himself said he would fight GSP at 170. It's not like GSP said he would never fight Anderson at a catchweight. Anderson has fought at 170, all be it a long time ago but he was over 25.
That said GSP walks around at 190 and Anderson walks around at 230. It seems only fair to make a catchweight to force Anderson to not have a huge size/strength advantage.

Well GSP hinting that LW is more natural then MW, makes me think again he isn't looking for the Anderson fight. Maybe he favors the Bendo fight more? They are actually probably pretty similar in size. But IMO GSP dominates Bendo and gets destroyed by Spider.

Just like how Anderson wont fight Jon Jones. |

| Yeah Silva was still fighting at 170 back then I believe, or had just made the transition to 185lbs(post rumble on the rock or whatever it was where he "lost" to Yushin Okami at 175 or 180lbs). Tanner was a highly esteemed fighter in his heyday. Tanner vs Hughes would have been a legit superfight. | |

Well Tanner was more highly ranked than Silva was then. I wasn't talking about Silva then. I meant Tanner in those days wasn't the fighter Anderson is today. Tanner wouldn't be a top 10 fighter today. Hughes would've beat him if they fought. |

Hughes = big balls GSP = scared little frog

Hughes = big balls
GSP = scared little frog It's not scared if you don't go to a much bigger opponents weight division to fight him. Anyways GSP>Matt Hughes as a fighter. |

| Here we go again with the "I just started watching in 2008" stuff. Of course Tanner at his best wasn't what Anderson is today, to be honest only two or three fighters are even in the same discussion as Anderson. The point is Anderson then wasn't Anderson today either and Tanner was one of the best in the world at the time. Beating Evan Tanner was quite the accolade when he was in his prime. | |
