Maynard should get BJ next..

if he beats Diaz. If not Edgar and Tyson should fight for a chance at a title shot.

Why does Frankie always got to fight another guy to get it, he beat Griffin already and has the most impressive resume of any of the guys in line, and guys who've gotten it before him. It should have been Edgar vs. Gray rematch for next shot, but I don't make fights.

I think Edgar deserves a shot. UFC is inconsistant. Edgar has racked up better wins than Florian did before they threw Kflo infront of Penn. So, i think he's due.

but yeah, Maynard would be the other good guy as well.

Maynard is the #1 contender now, then Edgar followed by Sean Sherk again.

Sherk is nowhere near a title shot.

Maynard has to get through Diaz first. I know he has improved a ton but Nate still is 1-0 against him. If he beats Nate convincingly then he should get it. If not then you have to give it to Edgar.

Neither Maynard nor Egar can stand with Penn. They are not even competitive there. They will go for takedowns, Penn in all likelihood will stuff them, and get pushed against the fence(which has been a common theme of late in Penn's fights). Doesn't make for the most thrilling of fights.

Penn's destroying these guys, but I would like to see him find a way of staying off the fence. If only for entertainment purposes.

Maynard and Sherk still in theory have a chance with their takedown abilities. Even I was somewhat duped into Diego's overhyping as far as his wrestling goes, but these guys have legit legit wrestling.


However I see fights with those two again playing out like his last five LW battles.

Maynard had zero striking. He big and can wrestle, but BJ keeps it standing and drops him with his hands.

Maynard doesn't have zero striking. He has very typical wrestlerturnedmmafighter striking for his stage, the kind that improves each fight he is in. Like Lesnar, Carwn, Cain, Rosholt, Koscheck, Diego, and even Couture once upon a time. He is just like those fighters. He out boxed Jim Miller recently and has looked a lot better with each fight.

Problem these wrestlers south of HW are facing is nowdays is that the top of the heap is so far beyond these guys in striking, BJJ and MMA in general that it takes five years or more to really catch up, while the higher profile fighters are moving up faster in the rankings than their skills provide.

Well i doubt anyone at 155 can take Bj down but if they do i hope they've worked on their sub defense...

Maynard needs to get by Diaz which isnt a gimmie but I dont think BJ fears either Maynard, Edgar, or K-Flow in a rematch at all. He is head and shoulders above every1 at 155.

Sherk beat Griffin so he should be ahead of him at least.
