| Legit question. That alone should tell you how insane the cut was. But who you got in this matchup? | |

| I'm going with Fitch. That's a pretty easy pick and we all know why. | |

I think it would be a very tough fight. Honestly right now I think it's 50/50.

| Sidenote, I'm sitting in the bank waiting for my customers to get done with this loan and the whole place smells like funk because of this bud in my pocket. | |

Ahh man I hate when I forget and leave shit in my pocket. I remember putting a few roaches in some selifan(the plastic the comes around cigarette/blunt packs) in my pocket and forgetting about it. Damn roaches reek. I had to just ditch it.

Nick has really improved over the years. I think he has a decent chance. But I wouldn't count out Fitch winning via control. That's why I say 50/50.

| I went homer and voted Diaz. But if they fight 10 times I could see them splitting it. | |

| Fitch takes it at least 7 of 10 times if not more. Nick can't stop the clinch and he can't submit Fitch. If Maia and BJ couldn't lock up a choke in back mount for like 20 combined minutes I don't see how Nick does it from the bottom. | |

| I have seen this question on other boards since the Fitch cut and every single one has Fitch favored by at minimum of 2 to 1. I bet you could go down the list of top 10 WW and you would get the same results on most. I personally think Fitch would beat Kos, Ellenberger, Sheilds, Kampmann, Saffiedine, and I think he could even beat Rory, Condit and Marquardt. | |

Reasons why he was cut no doubt, why have a guy like Fitch around when he would probably beat less talented MMA fighters they would rather market on personality over ability. Truly elite MMA fighters are a threat to the characters Zuffa invests in to make this a casual orientated show, not a display of who is actually the best at MMA. Zuffa is anti sport, if the best fighter is not considered marketable to them, they don't care, they would rather have guys offer more WWE stuff outside the cage and elite talent to go with that is simply a bonus. MMA isn't for MMA fans anymore, it's all geared towards people with marginal interest. Zuffa is a failure to MMA but a success for executive bank accounts.

All over you have the guys that really don't give a shit, the "just bleed" crowd. Same people that boo when a fight is on the ground for 5 seconds. But that's the fan base the UFC is targeting.

Shields probably beats Fitch just like he did in that grappling tournament a few years ago. Fitch wouldn't fight Kos but he could probably pull that one off. I think Rory would ragdoll him and Condit may just be crafty enough to sweep him from the bottom, but most likely he beats most of those guys you listed.

How shocked would you be if Fitch was able to beat Rory, Shields or Condit? Not very shocked I'm guessing. I think at minimum he has a 40% chance to win in all of those fights.

Honestly I'd be pretty surprised if Fitch beat Shields, given that Shields is a much better positional grappler. From a pure grappling standpoint Shields rapes Fitch on the ground.

Fitch doesn't beat Rory or Condit. |
