Cerrone dropping to 145, wants ALDO!

I'd take Brown, Faber, and Aldo over the top 155 guys in the WEC.

Cerrone's length could cause Aldo prob's. Could be a real fun fight to watch.

I stick to my original post. Cerrone's length poses problem's, in a very entertaining fight, but the more talented Aldo's take's the fight.

If he maintains his cardio and strength he is the second biggest threat to Aldo in that division. 1st being Faber.

Hell yes. I just wanted to bait a few doubters in here. Aldo beats him like a red headed step child. Then he beats Varner & Henderson too.

Aldo has ape arms and a 70 inch reach, carrone has small arms for his size, I believe also 70. His length isn't as much of an asset as people think.

i'd like to see how he handles that cut before i make a prediction, but i agree with Ninja his skills match up well against alot of guys in the division. A fight with Aldo would automatically be a fight of the year or ko of the year fight either way. And Cerrone vs Faber would be awesome too.

Cerrone's style doesn't bode well against Aldo. He regularly gets dropped at the beginning of fights before he actually gets going. I don't think he survives the first round against Aldo.

That being said, I love watching Cerrone fight and when he gets motivated he can be very good. After he lost the second point last Saturday night he was on a mission and he dominated from that point on. If he fought like that all the time he would have the 155 belt easily.

Cerrone is delusional, I don't even know if he's in the top 5 at FW if he drops, Aldo, Brown, Faber, LC, Manny, Garcia, Wagney; give him a fight with Manny or Garcia first.

Eh i think you're selling him a little short LA. Garcia? Manny? Cerrone beats those guys easily. He ko's Fabiano. Brown, Faber, and Aldo is a different story.

Eh, not has high on Cerrone as some of u guys, he's not even the best LW in a fairly lackluster WEC LW division. The FW division is a lot more talented, and I said I'm not sure he'd even be in the top 5, then listed Aldo, Brown, Faber and LC (all of whom I think are def better) followed by Manny, Garcia and Wagney. I think he should fight one of them first at least.

I donno LA, I think the WEC LWs could hang with that big pile of parity that makes up the division outside of BJ in the UFC. Those guys fight at a really high level. Does Tyson Griffin walk through these guys? Not so sure. These guys all train at the best camps in the sport too. The WEC LW division has evolved tenfold since the days of Razor Rob.

The fights between Varner and Cowboy, and Cowboy and Smooth really increased my opinion of those three fighters. I honestly see them as good as the bulk of the UFC guys at this stage. I'd say any of them are as least as good as Clay Guida or any other middle of the pack guy. All of these guys improve with each fight and train at the best places in the world. Carrone with Jackson, Varner at ACC. Henderson looks like he has a really exciting future too.

Maybe you're right, somebody like Kenflo or Sherk could be a little much at this stage, but I don't think there is a significant talent or training dispairity that would prevent these guys from very shortly entering the pack in the UFC.

Remember back when you watched Edgar and Griffin fight and thought "Man these guys are really good aren't they", that is the same thoughts I get watching the title battles between these guys, where as when I watched Razor Rob I felt like I was watching a KOTC.

i actually agree with Wolf here. And Cerrone isn't the best WEC lw yet, but i think he will be soon. He just needs to keep improving. If anything you have to give him credit for being active, the dude loves to fight he's practically on every other card the wec puts on. With experience he's gonna get better each fight.

i cant believe none of the wec's lw's are even in the top 25.

I have always said that LW is unlike any other division in that there are a 20 "top ten" level guys and 40 "top 20" guys, compared to other divisions like HW, where there are 5 "top ten" level guys...
