Pointless Rankings

I gotta disagree with those that have Pettis at 5. He's #1 IMO and has the resume to be at least top 3.

He'll have his Chanel to prove that this year. Lw is always the best, but this gonna be a huge year there this year.

Since when are wins over Aoki(when he was top 5) and Crusher not big? Maynard also got fucked over by the judges in his second fight with Edgar, and at least he wasn't taken down and controlled for 90% of his fight with Guida.

Lauzon, Cowboy, & Bendo > Aoki and Crusher and its not close.

Bendo was over two years ago for Pettis, and let's not pretend that Bendo two years ago is the same Bendo of today. Dude has improved by leaps and bounds since he got into the UFC. Sprinkle in the lackluster performances against Guida and Stephens and you have a non top 3 fighter who was a flying cage kick and one judges scorecard(against stephens) from being 2-3 in his last 5.

I'm not even one of Gilberts big supporters around here, but it's pretty plain to see why Melendez is considered top 3 and Pettis is not at this moment.

Gil isn't in my top five. He's not even the best LW in his own camp. He'll be proven he' not that good when Bendo gets done with him.

I liked their old rankings a lot better. Listing 25 suits my interest better, even with some of their terrible inclusions.
