MMA kicks off strong in November

Even minus the SF card that was suppose to go down in OKC, November gets off to a fast start.

Starting Friday November 2nd.

Bellator on SPIKE.com and MTV 2, with the return of Douglas Lima.

Saturday November 3rd.

The debut of World Series Fighting on NBC Sports. I thought it was just NBC but it's NBC Sports. Featuring a ton of former UFC fighters like Torres, AA, Rumble, Burkman, Harris and Branch as well as the MMA debut of Tyrone Spong.

Then it just keeps going after that. We get UFC on FUEL the next week and the return of GSP the week after that. Not to mention 3 more Bellator cards and 2 more cards on AXS TV. That is a shit load of free MMA and one big PPV feature the return of one of the top P4P fighters in the game.

Some good fights over the weekend. A few were very entertaining. It's early, but here are the ones that stuck out to me this weekend.

1. Ryan Ford vs Kyle Baker might have been the overall most entertaining fight from the weekend. Mainly because of Baker's ability to take punishment and keep on coming.

2. Sergio Pettis vs Jimmy Jones was probably the 2nd most entertaining IMO. There was no ground game at all, just 3 rounds of kick boxing. Sergio started off slow but really picked it up throughout the fight. He looks 12 years old and 2 weight classes smaller then his opponent but he came to fight. I recommend checking it out.

3. Tyson Griffin and Efrian Escudero put on a good show and a competitive fight as well.

After that there were a few good KO and TKOs to check out. Rumble and Sponge both had some pretty sweet finishes on WSOF.
Michael Page had another typical Michael Page fight. Only had to land a handful of punches to finish the fight. Hopefully he is tested more in Bellator
Chidi Njokuani had another good finish. I think it's about time for Zuffa to start calling.

Also as mentioned Shahbulat Shamhalaev intro video was EPIC.
