I read that Houston still has cap space to add players in FA. Harden will be great if you can find a Batman for him to play Robin.

Yeah I guess you could find a couple more Robin's and be OK. I wouldn't expect much from Cole Aldridge, he really doesn't seem to be progressing at all. But I will miss having Cook come off the bench. He is still young and an amazing shooter when he is on. I don't get trading him away when the Thunder need points off the bench. But I guess maybe Jones III could help off the bench this year.

| So uhh Harden did his best Batman impersonation in the opener. 37 points on 14-24 shooting, 12 assists, 6 boards, 4 steals, and a block.
Rockets playoff run starts 1-0.

| Very nice game by Harden, even if the opponent was the Pistons. But 37 points and 12 assist is a nice start to the season. Still don't like seeing James in another jersey, but I can't root against him, even if he did leave OKC for slightly more money. | |

He didn't leave, they got rid of him. |

He didn't leave, they got rid of him. No, he got a very nice offer and had months to take it. He was offered near max money to stay in OKC and he wouldn't sign. He is gone because he wouldn't sign. IMO it was his choice.

Teams expect players to sacrifice yet when they don't need a player it's ok to get rid of him. |

James could have got 15 mil per season to stay with OKC and contend for titles, instead he is getting 17 mil a season to be the man in Houston. If he wanted to stay that bad, he would be here. We don't need to trade Kendrick Perkins, just stop. Harden could still be with OKC today if he really wanted to be here, that's a fact.

I'd rather have Harden and an average centre over Martin and Perkins. Perkins hardly played in the finals. |

| It sounds like okc didn't want to pay luxury cap money. Serge could easily take less too. It's a 2 way street. Obviously okc wanted less than market value and Harden wasn't ok with it. | |

| OKC handled the situation poorly. Bottom line, you don't break up a title contender like that. They just the business route and will likely regret it. Harden was a lot closer to being the 2nd best player on that team than the 4th | |

LOL that's funny. He isn't even close to Westbrook. Sam Presti is much, much smarter about basketball business decisions then everyone here combined. Armchair GMs LOL. Keep you day jobs fellas.

| There isn't a single metric in existence that gives any indication that Westbrook is a better player, much less a far better one. He might jump off a television screen more, but as far as the actual game - defense, ball-handling, shooting, penetrating...Harden is right there with him every step of the way and is probably less of a question mark too. That will be proven in time though | |

| Agree that Harden is closer to 2nd than 4th. Not because I'm high on Harden but because I'm not feeling Westbrook at all. He should be averaging near double digit assists with harden durrant and serge but he's barely above 5. He ranked in the 70s in assist to turnover ratios. I think the Thunder would be better off long term with Harden starting and a true distributor at the point not a black hole like Westbrook. | |

| Harden with a new career high of 45. Dominated the 4th and led the Rockets to victory. | |
