| Here's The Mandarin About time they introduced a human villain for this series as I was getting tired of the Iron Man copycats. |

Not even intrigued by the choice of Shane Black to direct ? Last time he and Downey hooked up they made a solid movie called Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. |

You really didn't like Iron Man? One of the better comic book movies. RDJ does a great job as Tony Stark IMO.

I liked the Spiderman and both Burton and Nolan's batman series. Hell, i even like Schumacher's Forevor and actually watch Batman and Robin when it's on. I also like mind numbing popcorn flicks like Independence Day and even Michael Bay's Armageddon. I liked John Woo films in the 90's. Never took to Iron Man, X-Men, Hulk, Captain America, Thor and shit like that. One of the main reason's i didnt care about the Avengers is because i think all the heroes suck. All just popcorn flicks to me. What's the main reason to watch these films? a lot of action and special effects and i don't gravitate towards such things. I also don't give a fuck about comic books. Impressive, sure...but if it's not worth me wanting to watch a movie for mindless action i'm stuck with a movie with a simplistic plot that they still usually leave with holes, at the most one developed character, dialogue filled with hit or miss funny one liners and catch phrases. Nowadays you get more guys trying to do what Batman is doing but the problem with that is they don't got a Nolan making their movie. Theres also not a damn thing wrong with 21 Grams. Ali, the problem with you is not that you enjoy popcorn flicks, even intentionally b-movie popcorn flicks seeing how you think Robert Rodriguez is a better filmaker than the Coen Bros, or you enjoy his polished turds over Coen films...it's that you prefer them over films with substance. Films about life. Films with plot and interesting characters. Fresh engaging dialogue that you don't get in most of these popcorn flicks...and even that's not a problem but you attempt to give me shit for having taste. It's just a difference between you and me...you watch movies to turn your brain off and stuff your face with popcorn. I like to flip the switch to on and eat popcorn with class.

| I hope the push the envelope and try to be more innovative with the plot. Sequels especially have a difficult time with especially high budget action flicks. Downey has talent, they shoulnt bury him and the rest under assplosions and cheese dick .[quote] | |

| From what I've read it looks like Iron Man's suit might develop some sort of A.I in this movie which could make things interesting.
I just wish they would cover Stark's drinking problems from the comics. |

But I want to see it tackled on the big screen, I mean they've got the perfect actor for that issue considering Downey was high during most of the 90's. |

| No I'm talking about the highjacking of the iron man armors control.
With the Stark they have created already, in this type of peaches n cream marvel universe to boot, I really don't think they could go in that direction convincingly.
