Picking up on grappling rather quickly.

My coach is taking me to Cedar Park on the weekend of September 15th to compete at the Texas state championship tourny.

Can i expect to see any of you there?

Lol thats a long drive for me aswell. It will be worth it though. Win lose or draw I will learn something either way. Will be a great experience.

I got a decent team going with me as well. One of our guys was with the Lions Den for 7 years. He is a small guy but has great technique. We have another guy that wrestled for state, and has been doing bjj for 3 years. We have a few others that might go but they lack dicipline to bust their asses at practice so idk if they will be invited by coach or not. Im excited though.

Lol me and my coach were talking about the Shamrocks today. He was talking about Ken cornering a fighter had back in the 90s out out in or on MacArthur (I think its in Dallas?) He said Ken was so ate up with the roids that he got so angry at the judges that during his rage he turned purple and passed out. Said they took him to the hospital lol. Ken is a crazy dude.

Ken defintely had a fuze and would go crazy if he thought his fighters were getting fucked over, look up Mezger vs Sakuraba.

I fought a dude down in dallas from the lions den maybe 2001? Mezger was in his corner and I was shocked at the guys size. He looked alot more physically impressive than I thought on Pride Shows.

i dont remember the guys name I fought I just remember he was coming off a first rd tko win maybe 30secs?? I

Years later I witnessed Ken going beserkers on a fan that said he" should retire" Ken said "what" fan said "pussy" fan disappeared in crowd when ken said "step up"

He then went on spewing blood pressure raising run one setence

ya man, Guy was a very big strong dude , as a kid he used to stick his face out and say punch me, I don't think I ever connected once on him. I wonder who you were fighting honestly, what weight/?
Ken was just all about respect man, if you gave it to him he's one of the nicest people you ever meet, if you don't give it to him.......run.

bird I would guess he was 200-220

this was days of open(one or two) weight class tourneys. I was 190 ish maybe 200. He was black haired hispanic looking but had a white name if I remember correctly.

Man I would probably need a picture and even then not sure if I could I D the guy. Maybe one of my brothers could If I emailed them the picture. Actually they might have kept up with some of the ongoings back then better than me. I know at one point my brother had pictures of me in Brazil during an 8 man tourney

No it wasnt alex, actually similar build, I cant remember alexes hight from pride but i picture him at 5'10 or 6 ft or so. The guy I fought was 5'8-5'9 several inches shorter than me
