| um he didn't get finished and had one hell of a triangle attempt. that is the most vulnerable that anyone has made lyoto look in his career for gods sake. come on now out of the last four fights he's the only fighter to last 2 rounds let alone 3. | |

| He was dropped then Machida was in his guard, he pulled a triangle attempt for like 7 seconds, Machida schooled him that whole fight, Nakumura lost by UD to Machida too, man anyway to act like Tito is still relevant. | |

yeah and the point is he was still closer than anyone else has ever been so he should get some credit. Shit I still say he fucking beat rashad. I mean come on man in the last three years he fought the three most current ufc LHW champions and went 1-1-1. I don't see how he isn't relevant if he comes back. you guys drink a lot of hateraid but that doesn't change the fact Tito is legit.

| Rashad and Forrest are much better fighters now then when they fought Tito, I'd pick both in rematches, and how about if Tito didn't grab the fence he would have been taken down legit, and might have actually lost that fight. Not to mention it's been over a year since he's fought. | |

you do realize this is like the third time we've had this argument right? I think if tito didn't grab the fence he would have won it on points but who knows. Shit if Tito would have got his back surgery back in the day like he should've maybe he would have kicked the shit out of rahad who knows.

| It's hard to see it happening. If he goes undefeated in 2010 then he might flirt with the number 10 ranking. He needs at least two other wins if he can get by Chuck. I might be in the minority but I still don't think he can beat Chuck. | |

| So much for the top 10... Forrest beat him easily and now he's facing Chuck. A loss to Liddell and Tito just may fall out of the top 20. | |

| Forrest didn't beat him easily. A judge scored it for Tito and if he fought the last round like the other two he would have won as I had him slightly ahead still. But you can't just fall apart in a super close fight in the third round and do nothing and still expect to win. Tito ran out of steam, Forrest certainly didn't beat him easily. What fight did you watch? | |

| I actually thought Tito won the fight despite the 3rd round although it could have gone either way but he will be KOed by Chuck again and that might be it for Tito. | |

Yes Tito won a round and made another round semi close (not really though) then by the end of the fight Tito had nothing left and Forrest was beating him easily with a broken foot. If that a five round fight then Forrest finishes him or wins by a huge margin. That is the problem with 3 round "big" fights.

If you thought Tito won the fight then you're the perfect example of the scoring system being flawed.

| Forrest kind of thought Ortiz won judging by his reaction too.
Tito still has a great shot in a rubber match.

| Here goes Wolfy trying to convince everyone Tito is still good. He padded his record against Can Shamrock. The following would beat Tito right now...
Forrest Rashad Shogun Rampage Chuck Franklin Vera Randy Hendo Lil Nog Luiz Cane Machida Wandy Jardine Thiago Silva Krystoff Bader Cantwell Hammil Bones Jones
I would seriously wager on any of these guys to beat the one dimensional Ortiz. His one dimension: Lay and pray.
Tito isn't even top 20 in the UFC....he could beat Red Shafer and Eliot Marshall.

If you thought Tito won the fight then you're the perfect example of the scoring system being flawed. I think u can make an arguement that tito won the 1st and 2nd rounds. He lost the 3rd big time but I didnt think it was a 10-8 round just because Forrest didnt inflict serious damage. The fight was close in my opion.

He lost the 3rd big time but I didnt think it was a 10-8 round just because Forrest didnt inflict serious damage. The fight was close in my opion. The only reason you think Tito won those round is because there is a 10-9 must system. If a round is so close that most people are split on it then why not just call it a 10-10 or 9-9 round? But we see by the end of the fight Tito is done. He didn't touch Forrest and the 3rd and got picked apart easily. The injured Forrest could have kept going. The judges got it right (IMO and IMO of most people) but if we fixed the scoring or made main events 5 rounds then it would remove the ability to "make an argument" when someone fights someone close a round or two.

Tito isn't even top 20 in the UFC....he could beat Red Shafer and Eliot Marshall. That's a convincing list. I'm not so sure about Cantwell or Wandy though, but I might add Jake O'Brien to the list too. HIs wrestling and boxing would be tough for Tito to counter.

I agree with Nerko 100% They should have Tito fighting Wandy instead of Chuck. That would get people watching alot more than this train wreck headliner fight. I still can't beleive the UFC has these two coaching again and fighting for a third time after Chuck destroyed Tito two times.

Tito isn't even top 20 in the UFC....he could beat Red Shafer and Eliot Marshall. I don't have to convince anyone worth convincing in the first place. People who are able to objectively process information can see he could still contend with many fighters. If you are cognitively challenged like thome on the other hand... He would beat or at least compete with over half that list right now in his washed up state. There are few fighters as relevant for as long as Ortiz. The facts reflect this in the fact he was still competative with Forrest and Rashad in all their fights and hung in there with Chuck in their last fight. Bolded are fighters who he could compete with, and italic are fighters I'd take him to defeat.

Tito isn't even top 20 in the UFC....he could beat Red Shafer and Eliot Marshall. Theoretically it's hard for me to imagine Tito going over .500 if he took on all. But he would be competitive in most of those match ups.
