Feel free to doll out $100 mil for 5 years. He's a shell of his former self

Still worth it. Rockets have the cap room and another C to give him the rest he needs or use him as a quality piece to help get a decent PF to help take the pressure off of him.

That easily puts Houston in the top 5 in the West when we've been stuck in purgatory finishing 9th in the west 3 years in a row.

I think Howard is still playing hurt and he will be better next season. That along with less pressure in Houston and surrounded by 3 point shooters Houston will be a very dangerous team. I'd have them as the 4th best in the west.

i dont question for a second that he's playing hurt and that he'll be much improved after the injury, it's his attitude that doesn't fit the laker way... he's just not a winner, and we can't have that

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8968568/reports-thomas-robinson-2012-no-5-overall-pick-dealt-sacramento-kings-houston-rockets

Reports: Thomas Robinson dealt

After drafting Thomas Robinson with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2012 draft, the Sacramento Kings already have him on the move, according to reports.

Multiple media outlets report that the Kings will send Robinson, Francisco Garcia, Tyler Honeycutt as well as a future second-round pick to the Houston Rockets as part of a three-way deal that also involves the Phoenix Suns.

In return, the Kings would receive Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich, Toney Douglas and additional money from the Rockets.

The Suns are set to receive Marcus Morris from the Houston Rockets for a second-round pick, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

Morris, who is averaging 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in Houston, will join his twin brother Markieff in Phoenix.

Was about to post this. Rockets traded 2 undersized PFs and average bench players for big potential. While Morris and Patterson are both currently better than Robinson, I wouldn't be shocked if in a year or 2 Robinson is averaging 14 to 17 points and 9 boards and on his way to possibly being Harden's Robin...assuming we don't get D12 or another big man.

Why did the Sonics make that trade? That was dumb.

He's hurt but let's not forget that it was back surgery for a guy that needs his athletic ability to be anywhere near what he used to be. That and he's the biggest crybaby bitch in the NBA right now

I can't believe Sacramento traded Robinson. The guy will be a stud. Another great move by the Rockets.

This I agree with. Have fun and games away from the court. To be a champion he needs Kobe's killer instinct.

I don't see Robinson ever developing into a stud but he can definitely be an effective rotation player 12-8 kinda guy

Its funny how many times the Rockets have hosed the Kings in trades recently. Even if Robinson never develops into a major scoring option, his rebounding alone is worth it

Still true. Maybe add LAL too. Sure they moved into 8th but that had as much to do with Utah as it did with them.

Chicago has a better chance of going further in the playoffs than Houston.

Only because the East sucks outside of Miami. Houston will get San An, OKC or LAC most likely.

We'd also beat Houston in a 7 game playoff series.

Not even close. Bulls match up better with bigs in the half ourt, not a spread it out and shoot 3s and drive like the rockets do.

Playoffs is different than regular season. Bulls love slowing the game down and playing playoff style defense. Houston has no defense.

Rockets win again.

Harden is hands down better than Rip and Dang combined. Not close.

Asik is on the same level Noah.

Boozer has a definitive advantage over D-Mo or Robinson.

Nate and Lin have different skills, but my bias has me taking Lin over Nate.

I'll take Del3no over Belinelli too.

When Rose isn't playing the Rockets are definitely better. With Rose then I'd give Chitown the edge.
