| he recently stepped up his competition from a trash can to a little over a tomato can,.
He fought Kerston Manswell who was 23-5 with the losses coming to Ruslaen Chagaev and Uristinov (25-0 prospect), Cedric Boswell.
So yes, the dude was clearly not a top fighter but compared to what Wilder had been facing he was a step up, Wilder still knocked him out in the 1st round.
Hopefully Deontay can get on with it and face a top 40 opponent. | |

| It's ridiculous how slow they are moving Wilder, he's not going to improve if they keep feeding him can after can.
Mitchell IMO is being brought along the right way. |

| I completely agree with you on Mitchell, I just think that with Wilder only having under 2 years amateur experience they are bringing him along like Julio Cesar Chavez, remember his first 40 fights? pretty much all mexican cab drivers, the good thing was, imo, Wilder has not looked good at the 220 pound areas he has hovered around his pro career, this fight he came in at 230 and looked better. I think if they can slowly (a year) bulk him up to 240 while upping the competition it will serve him well.
