One of my best friends is in ICU

Over the weekend one of my best friends was shot 5 times by his roommate and he remains in critical condition in ICU. It's looking like he is going to pull through now, but still can't say for sure. Not sure exactly how it went down but I helped his family get some of his clothes out of his apartment and I saw the trail of blood and the hole in the door where he was originally shot. He was shot twice in the chest, twice in the stomach and once in the leg. Story is he was turning on the shower when his roommate came up from behind with the gun. Which going by where the blood trail was makes sense. On Monday they moved him up to OU Medical Center in OKC because they have specialist up there. They guy that shot him took his car and still hasn't been found.

He is going off to surgery right now. Trying to fix some of the bleeding going on around his lungs. They are trying to go up through the groin right now, but if they aren't able to get it all that way they will have to do another surgery going in from the side. Hopefully all goes well and I get some good news soon.

Thats horrible man. I hope he pulls through and lives a normal life. I hope they catch the fucker who shot him.

Thanks beast. My best guess is the guy is either trying to hideout in Colorado where he was before coming back to Oklahoma. He is in Mexico trying to do what you see in the movies, or he killed himself and they haven't found his body yet.

My buddy started out like a little bro to me. He is younger then me and my other friends. He has had a hard life and when he was still in High School he was living with another one of my buddies for awhile. But over the years we have become really good friends. He is about to be a Jr. in college.
Here is the local news article about the guy who shot him. But it's an old picture cause the guy has had a buzz haircut for years now.

I still don't know. That guy has always been a little off. Didn't finish High School, had problems at Job Core and had problems in military. I have no idea what happened. I was shocked when I heard, no idea what happened. I don't know if he was drunk or on something or what. Hopefully I can get some kind of info on that eventually.

this happened to 2 guys on my baseball team in HS that were best friends. We were all sitting out front drinking and they got into a tussle over fuck knows what and one pulled a gun on his best friend and they wrestled for it the other kid got it and put 3 in him then headed off to prison. Sometimes youth is wasted on the young

Everything is looking good. Latest from his mom's facebook says "Ryan is free from both chest tubes, ng tube, has his foley catheter out, his surgery yesterday showed the lungs healing nicely, there are no more signs of internal bleeding n his color is returning to normal after many pints of blood this past week".
Which is good. I talked to him on the phone for just a second yesterday. He was still pretty shaken, didn't want to come back to Lawton.

Update. He is doing great. Actually got to go home yesterday. I haven't got to talk to him too much since he has been home. Last time I talked to him they were still trying to figure out what kind of damage was done to his liver and lungs. But I'm just glad he is OK and is home now. It was very scary there for awhile but he pulled through it.

No he is still out there. I'm surprised because he stole my buddies car and it hasn't turned up anywhere. I expected them to atleast find the car by now. For all I know he killed himself and burned the car. He has ties in Colorado but I can't imagine him driving a stolen car that far and it not turning up anywhere. He was a very strange guy, he seriously could have went the movie route and went right to Mexico. I hope he shows up somewhere. Mainly for peace of mind for my buddy and his family.

Yeah I finally got a little more to the story. I guess the guy was messing around with the gun in the apartment and it went off. My buddy, his girlfriend and her 3 month old baby were in the apartment with him. My buddy flipped out when the gun went off and him and his roommate got into it, I guess my buddy got the best of him. The guy took off and didn't return until early the next morning. By this time it's just my buddy and his roommate in the apartment. As my buddy tells it, he went over to his roommate and said he apologized but you can't do that kind of shit inside, especially when there is a kid there. He tells my buddy whatever man just go away. Important to note they have got into before in the past, but they always made up. But I guess as my buddy was walking to his room his roommate was right behind him but my buddy didn't notice. So he got to his room and went to turn on the shower, he has his own bathroom in his room. That's when his roommate took the gun off the dresser and started shooting. He went right for whatever money he knew was around and grabbed the car keys and took off. Hasn't been seen or heard of since then.

Thank you. He is doing great right now. I'm also surprised he or the car hasn't popped up yet.

Just found out he was finally found. I guess they got him in Colorado.
