M-1 Challenge 33 - June 6th

Ibragim Magomedov gets a rematch with Alexander Emelianenko.

Their last fight was only 51 seconds but Magomedov managed to drop Alex with a hard overhand right early. Doctor stopped it due to a cut on the face Magomedov.

So was the stoppage from the cuts or from the eye poke? Looked pretty intentional.

Been translating the comments, a lot of disgust towards the stoppage with an eye poke and Magomedov bitching about it afterwords.

Yeah it was a very confusing/awkward finish.

Don't know what to make of the comments. But it seems like a lot of people didn't like how Mag was acting and permanently this isn't the first time he's been this way. Ruskies love and hate Alex.

I just kind of browsed through the fight for now. Weird stoppage since it didn't seem to be too bad of a poke in terms of damage done. Fights have went on after seemingly worse pokes. Don't know what was said obviously but never tell anyone you can't see if you really want to continue.

pretty nasty cut on his nose though, not from the poke though.

No Idea. Some kind of official.

Just watched the 1st round. Fairly even. Alex pushed forward more but Mango was throwing more. But most of the time Alex was out of reach so it wasn't landing. Alex landed a few leg kicks, kind of controlled the end of the round. I guess he won that round?

Weird how the video cuts away for awhile. I didn't see any strike that I can tie to the damage on Mago's face.
