The headliner is set for Super Fight League 3: heavyweights Bobby Lashley (7-1) vs. James Thompson (17-14).

The Indian-based organization today announced the fight, which takes place May 6 at IGI Stadium in New Delhi. The entire lineup streams on YouTube.

Other announced SFL 3 bouts include light heavyweights Trevor Prangley (23-9-1) vs. Baga Agaev (26-11), middleweights Doug Marshall (14-5) vs. Zelg Galesic (10-6), and 125-pounders Lena Ovchynnikova (8-1) vs. Joanne Calderwood (1-0).

I'm not sure Lashley can finish Thompson and sadly Thompson probably has the heart and drive to pour it on him late

Yeah, I think they just like the HW as main events, I kinda do also, but the better fights will 100% be from the lighter weight classes. Still, Lashley and Thompson are in each others range right now I think, top 75ish fighters.

Lashley will dominate him. Think people have been a little hard on Lashley.

He's been training with Barnett, so i anticipate he will get better at doing more with the dominant positions he gets in every fight but had no idea what to do with them.

Shit Lashley's criticism is deserved. Just watch the guy fight, not alot to be impressed with. An undersized LHW put on a competitve fight vs Lashley a couple fights ago. He is still awful on the feet and still needs to work on his cardio.

Never said he was impressive, but not really a joke people treat him as either. He would outwrestle and defeat several HW in the UFC...including Chad Griggs in a rematch.

Who is undersized HW? I was referring to the John Ott fight. Ott is an undersized LHW. He might even have some fights at MW.

Griggs would still beat him in rematch IMO. Wouldn't surprise me if he could beat some HW on roster. But I'd probably still pick guys like Rosa and Beltran to beat him.

i thought you were talking about Griggs, who people think is a LHW fighting at HW. I didnt see his fight with Ott.

Lashley still has a very strong base. If he sticks at MMA and train with the right people..he'll get some quality wins. Like i said, i mostly like that he's training with Josh Barnett now. That is a very fitting guy for Lashley to train with because Lashey often has positions that Barnett has and Josh can teach him so things to do with mount and side control which Lashley had in the Griggs fight but didnt do anything with.

Lashley gassed and i also think he underestimated him. We all thought Griggs was another lamb and im sure Lashley did as well. No real reason for me to pick Griggs if they fought again. If i had to put money on it, id go Lashley.

Lashley has gassed more then once. Like I said John Ott(who I'm nearly positive has fought at MW) was competitive vs Lashley. But Ott is a bit of a gamer. That fight was on HDNet.
The guy seems pretty cool out of the cage, I'm not trying to hate on the guy too much. But he has some major cardio issues and is still very raw as a fighter. Even with his cardio issues he has a decent enough wrestling base to squeak out some decisions.
