| I think Forrest gets in for the impact he had on the growth of the UFC. I know Bonnar was in the same fight but Forrest has gone on to become champ and has wins over Rampage, Rua and Ortiz. |

| Franklin - Yes Wand - Based on UFC No, but career = hell yeah so toss up IMO Belfort - Yes Rampage - Yes Serra - TUF winner and champ/beat GSP(which is more impressive?) but still NO Diaz (Nick) - Not even close Ortiz - yes Forrest - Yes. Maybe not on W/L alone but close, throw in TUF, and the fight that made the UFC, so easily Yes. Bonnar - No. Thought some may but him in based on the fight with Forrest alone. Sherk - No Florian - No Faber - Yes. Cruz - Close... very close. I'm going to go with Yes. Defended the belt 2x in the UFC, 2x in the WEC, and has only lost once to Faber then avenged it. 9-1 Zuffa record. | |

| Franklin - Absolutely Wand - No, his UFC record doesn't merit it. Belfort - Yes Rampage - No Serra - No Diaz (Nick) - No Ortiz - Yes Forrest - Yes Bonnar - Maybe Sherk - Maybe Florian - Maybe, his three challenges and his side work with the company will probably get him in. Faber - No Cruz - Yes Shogun - Yes Koscheck - No Bisping - No Sonnen - No Tanner - No | |

Poopy Pants - No Fitch - Maybe Nog - Yes Interesting. If you are talking about UFC HOF, I would think AA would have a stronger argument then Nog. All HW listed are in front of Brock on the HOF list IMO.

Hall of fame is about a career of achievements.

| The question is UFC HOF not MMA HOF. If it was that I would change things a bit.

Hall of fame is about a career of achievements. I agree that is how it should be looked at. But is that how they(Zuffa) looks at it? I'm all for career achievements in MMA being the most important factor. But I was just assuming they were using what happened in the Octagon only.

| Yeah but a hall of fame for only UFC is the definition of retarded. Football has pre-merger HoF inductees post-merger, same with basketball, Baseball, even pro fucking wrestling. HoF resumes are built from entire careers. | |

I don't disagree. I just assumed we were using those rules. If we can include all MMA accomplishments then Brock shouldn't be anywhere on the radar of the HOF discussions. He is far down on the list in a weak division. Let me throw out something interesting then. Jake Shields. Very nice wins/impressive accomplishments.

Most of the guys I've said no to are not done though and can still pave the way to being Hall of Fame worthy imo.

Again I agree that is how it SHOULD be looked at. But DW is full of bitchassness. I would be pleasantly surprised if he made the right call on most of the guys we are talking about.

| http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/4/26/2975879/ufc-dana-white-tito-ortiz--bj-penn-hall-of-fame-mma-newsDana was asked about the UFC Hall of Fame and whom he thinks should be inducted. He named two fighters that are winding down their careers, both pioneers and former champions. Tito Ortiz and B.J. Penn. Here's what he said about his former client Tito, who believes his bout with Forrest Griffin at UFC 148 will be the last of his career (via MMA Fighting): - Quote :
- "Despite my personal problems with Tito, he belongs in," said White. "He was the champion when we first bought this thing. The fact that Tito is still here, Tito and I have had our moments, but it doesn’t change what he did for the company."
...
"The beef between me and Tito, Chuck and Tito, the fact is, that played a huge role in helping making this thing as big as it is." His thoughts on Baby Jay are after the jump. - Quote :
- "Definitely," White said when asked if Penn belongs in the Hall. "The thing about B.J. Penn is that what he brought to the lightweight division, there was a point in time when we first bought this company when people thought guys in the lighter weight divisions couldn’t be stars and couldn’t see pay-per-views and couldn’t cross over. B.J. Penn was definitely that first crossover guy for us."
The UFC HoF is the creation of a company and obviously isn't meant to be compared to the HoF's of major sports. Still though, the debate about who and who should not be inducted is always fun to have. B.J. and Tito seem like shoe-ins, but what about Frank Shamrock? Evan Tanner? Pat Miletich? There are obviously a ton of candidates that are still active as well.

Franklin Wand Belfort Rampage Serra Diaz (Nick) Ortiz Forrest Bonnar Sherk Florian Faber Cruz WWE HOF includes WCW careers, so do the other major sports. I could see a case for Florian too. Lesnar in terms of FAME and what he did for the company def deserves inclusion, whether or not he was never really the best fighter around.

| Regardless of how you want to characterize it, the question still comes down to the UFC HOF, not the MMA HOF. Though Wolf pointed out, rightly (ouch), that the WWE includes other/absorbed organizations wrestlers and their accomplishments in the squared circle. So from a Pride/WEC/UFC/Strikeforce standpoint? I will re-vote:
Franklin - Yes Wand - Yes Belfort - Yes Rampage - Yes Serra - no Diaz (Nick) - Yes Ortiz - Yes Forrest - Yes Bonnar - Maybe Sherk - Maybe Florian - Maybe Faber - Yes Cruz - Yes AA - Yes Poopy Pants - No Fitch - No Nog - Yes

| UFC hall of famers or MMA hall of famers?
i'd say franklin and ortiz are the only bonafide HOFers on UFC performance alone, forrest and bonnar would probably get in though i wouldn't necessarily agree with it.
