| Didn't read the article. I gave up ESPN for lent, but it works out perfectly if Anderson beats Sonnen and GSP beats Condit. I still think GSP can beat Silva. His wrestling is good enough to control Anderson like he's controlled everyone else. | |

| Great, we're back to talking about this now? GSP isn't fighting until November and actually has legitimate challengers at 170 now. Anderson can do whatever he wants after Chael takes his belt | |

| I wouldn't call Condit and Ellenberger actual challenges for GSP. He will destroy them all if 100% fit. |

This will always linger for as long as both men reign as champions. |

So we've already set up that if he loses or wins close its because of the injury? Nice The WW division is starting to get loaded at the top with wrestlers that have KO power in the hands as well. Its a much more interesting time than it has been recently

| Well I agree with ESPN. They should fight. If GSP Wins, he takes over the belt, assuming Sonnen hasn't gotten it yet. That leaves Condit free to take over as the de Facto Champion, and Anderson retires or goes for a Super Fight against Jon Jones. Either way you will get the fight against Condit/new champion as another Super Fight, with Dan Henderson sitting there like a panther ready to pounce should something go wrong. | |

So if Anderson loses to GSP he automatically gets a shot at Jon Jones? If he can't beat GSP he wont get close to Jones. |

| Not necessarily Freak, plus you are talking about two of the most dynamic strikers in the history of the sport. Who wouldn't want to watch that? Besides, at this point silva should only be doing superfights. | |

Agree on that. Sonnen II, Sonnen III (if needed), GSP, Hendo, Shogun, Bones, Rashad, or maybe Bisping (if he wins 2-3 more) at this point. No other fights make sense to me for the 36 year old.

| Please, no one has shown even the slightest hint of takedown defense against his strength and skill in wrestling coupled with his tremendous speed and deception. Super fight please. | |

| It doesn't take a genius to read between the lines and see that GSP wants nothing to do with Anderson.
I want to see fights with Condit, Ellenberger, Hendricks, etc. Its a more interesting time at the WW division than its ever been before. No one is saying that GSP wouldn't be the favorite, but I want to see 'em happen

| GSP older and hurt bumps up interest in the divisions current state and where it goes in the next few years with or without him, the division is still deep as hell too. | |

Agree and that why I have always kept GSP #1 P4P. He's been dominating a stacked division for years.

No one is saying that GSP wouldn't be the favorite, but I want to see 'em happen None of these fighters is close to good enough in enough areas to present more than a token challenge. GSP is a unique, transcendent fighter who is able to be elite at multiple aspects. Being a "wrestler with heavy hands" is not credible to me. I want to see the two transcendent fighters engage in a historic battle of legacies over watching GSP grind Condit into paste or jab the noses off of Hendrix and Ellenberger, who could barely touch him with their best strikes.

This will always linger for as long as both men reign as champions. Why was that negged ? Fans will clamor for the fight until either guy loses or retires that's fact. |

| GSP could and I think WOULD beat Anderson. He has the unique set of skills that it would take to win that fight. I can understand people who want to see Anderson fight Bones more, however, anyone that wouldn't love to see GSP and Anderson go at it is just nuts. (You too OU)
This is the essence of the p4p argument. When two guys are top p4p fighters and they're actually close enough in weight and size to actually fight each other...it's silly not to go ahead and make that fight. It would answer so many questions and would definitely help satisfy those that argue GSP and Anderson as 1 and 2 p4p.
And I hate hearing people talk about Ellenberger and Condit's striking causing problems for GSP...these are the same arguments that were made about BJ Penn, Thiago Alves, even Dan muthafuckin Hardy. No one at 170 is going to take GSP down, aside from a fluke with ala Matt Serra.

| I have explained numerous times why I have no desire to ever see that fight go down. Don't worry it won't happen and everything will be better for it. | |
