| Why would Bisping take a fight with Cung Le(who's barely top 20 in the weakest division in the UFC) when he just fought to a razor thin decision with the current #1 contender? | |

| Smart. Cung would have done some damage while Boetsch will just be slow, plodding and get his ass kicked. | |

If by "done some damage" you mean get himself outpointed and gas out after a round and a half with the pace Bisping puts on, then I agree.

| I can see it being like the Silva fight. Cung won the first round..had Wandy hurt on an occasion and then gas out and lost. I still attribute Cung gassing so hard to the layoff.
Where as Boetsch will just get out pointed from the jump and not do anything...whether he gasses or not. Cung is better than Boetsch...unfortunately, flukes happen.
I understand why Bisping chose Boetsch..he got the W over Okami so he gets to move up. If that didnt happen, Bisping would have likely picked Cung..if ranking were really all he was going by.

Layoff or not Cung hasn't faced anyone who will make him work like Bisping has a habit of doing to his opponents. Had Boetsch not won Michael would have chosen Okami. It's very clear he's in the title picture after that close fight with Chael. A couple good wins over top ten guys and he's a contender.

Boetsch just beat Okami who fought for the tittle not too long ago. Cung is an exciting fighter but he's WAAAAY outside the top 10 while Bisping is top 4 imo

| Bisping vs Boetsch makes more sence any way you look at it. I think Tim gives Bisping a grind it out fight and could win. I agree with Ludo though. The way Cung has looked after gassing, it wouldn't be good to fight Bisping at that pace. Although most people try to avoid fighting Cung at that pace like every other guy he as fought, because he can fuck you up real quick in a 5 minute 1st round. It will be interesting to see if Cung is in better shape since he is fighting and training full time again. I'm pretty sure the winner of Boetsch vs Bisping and Ace vs Cung will meet up. I wouldn't have a problem with it. | |

it was supposed to be a joke since we all know Cung is not very good. See the other thread. But this time Bisping has gone too far. "I have never really looked at Mark Munoz and thought he looked like a particularly dangerous opponent," said Bisping. “His ground and pound looks good, his wrestling doesn’t look all that dangerous, his stand up is suspect and he’s got a weak chin. I think Tim Boetsch is probably a harder fight.” On Henderson, Bisping added: “I would 100 per cent be interested in a rematch. Made a lot of mistakes in the build-up to that fight and I have grown as a fighter."

On Henderson, Bisping added: “I would 100 per cent be interested in a rematch. Made a lot of mistakes in the build-up to that fight and I have grown as a fighter." Munoz would pound Bisping through the mat. Hendo did nothing more than head hunt against Bisping. He knew he could land that right. I have no doubt that if they fight again, Hendo will land it again. Bisping should pray that rematch never happens because another KO like that and he might be a vegetable.

| Bisping would beat all 3, but I suppose Munoz would be the toughest of the group | |

If Munoz wrestled then he'd win. Plain and simple. Problem is Munoz likes to throw hands too much. Happens far too often for wrestlers who get away from their base.

I've seen nothing from Munoz's wrestling to suggest he could take Bisping down with regularity

I've seen nothing from Munoz's wrestling to suggest he could take Bisping down with regularity Munoz beat Sonnen in college. If that means anything.
