2012 Ultimate MLB thread!

I got off early today so I should be able to see most of the games today. What a great final day of the season.

Rangers up 4-1. Come on! Get this!

Rangers just can't fuck with the Bay Area.

Pretty pissed at this formatting and that the Reds have to play 2 fucking road games in San Fran to kick off the series. How are the Giants playing Kings? Our pitching has been on like it has all year but the bats have been ice cold for a couple weeks now. Hopefully that means a couple guys other than Votto are ready to go on a hot streak here

Yeah it actually helps the Tigers Bobbitt and I still hate it.

Well its official now that the Tigers play the A's and the series starts saturday at 6pm in Detroit!!!!!

OU and Mantis u guys now have to have the Rangers beat the Orioles to get the right to play the Yankees.

Rangers go 0-2 in the new playoffs.

Yeah, i don't understand the format at all.

Giants have been playing great since the all star break. Especially on offense. Pagan, Scutaro, and Posey have been killing it. Pence is also driving in a lot of runs. They have consistantly struck early in games by putting up runs in the first inning.

I'll still put the whole pitching staff against anybodys but with Lincecum having such a horrible season and falling back into the shitter his last two starts before the playoffs..thats scary. Zito earned his spot in the rotation and had a good season, but he still has the odd game where he completely falls apart, Bumgarner has only been average since the break. I'm feeling pretty comfortable with Romo as closer right now.


Should be an interesting series. The Reds have been a tough matchup for the Giants the past few years because a lot of their hitters have good career numbers vs. our best pitchers and Latos lives to fuck with the Giants..so i'm definitely pretty nervous for the series but i like out chances if the bats i mentioned keep it up.

In 2010, the Giants played the Braves and Phillies. Giants typically got the better of those teams during the season as well. The Reds and Nationals on the other hand have got the better of the Giants so it looks like the road is going to be a lot toughter this year.

Well in 06 to go to the WS we had to beat the A's and.........wait that has nothing to do with this team. Kings yours sounded alot better than mine.

The Rangers are a broken team .. the staff can't shut the door and the batters knows it which makes them press.. and it has caused a broken fan .. im going into this next game thinking they are going to lose (being a cowboys fan helps this mentality too) and it will be an upset if they win .. shame .. but theres still a chance and I will hold on forever

Nolan & co + Jon Daniels need to make some big moves this next year though.. Young and Napoli HAVE to go .. and do not offer some 10 year 200 mil deal to josh .. if that compromises getting some good pitching in here for once.

Weird, as a Cowboys fan myself I still think they are going to win every game they play. But I agree about the Rangers, they are broken right now.

They have made me a sceptic .. Like I'm with you that I believe they CAN win every game but I expect them to choke .

BTW U guys are down on the Rangers right now but if they beat the Orioles u get the Yankees the first round and get the 1st 2 games at home. Not bad after 1 of the biggest choke jobs in recent memory.

I only said that cause the way u guys was talking lol. This wasnt even close to as bad as the Tigers in 09 I believe it was. We were up 3 with 6 to play and lost it in the 1 game playoff. Devastating.

I cant wait to the playoffs start tomorrow.
