The point of creating this interm title was this (the real point, not what "should" have been the point) ;

1. Get Nick Diaz into a title fight for PPV buys

2. Angle the winner of what should have been a sick fight into a bonafide challenge for GSP upon his eventual return from knee injury

3. Have some sort of WW title fight between GSP's last fight and his return. Even if it was only one bout, that is better than nothing.


Condit vs Ellenberger is a fight I would barely care about and I don't think would generate any buys or interest at all. But maybe if they did it for free on one of these shows and they showed up and whoever the winner was fought a great fight, it would benefit them on GSP's return. As it is, Condit is not a challenge fans respect for GSP nor is he a fighter casuals like at all due to the Diaz bout

I don't agree or disagree but he still isn't someone people think has a chance to defend the takedown or actually win. The Diaz fight did him no favors. GSP haters also dislike Condit now. He isn't considered a real threat to GSP.

There is no reason why Kamp should get a shot over Hendricks. Also Martin just decided to have surgery.
