that there will be some sort of disaster in the next 12 months? Are you preparing for it or making fun of the folks that are?

It's possible. It's possible every year that we can suffer some kind of natural disaster. Who knows when the next one will come? Has absolutely nothing to do with any special dates.

i've explained my opinion on this before. I much more believe that we will see the a world financial collapse this year. Hyper inflation will hit american, you are beginning to see it in the gas prices shooting way up right now.

If im preparing for something it is social unrest in the streets and martial law. Not giant meteors or aliens attacking.

Yeah but does that have anything to do with this being a special year? Is there any kind of "destiny" to the events you are talking about? Or is this a coincidence that it may happen in 2012?

the only thing that i find kind of... interesting... is that 2012 is the peak year in solar activity and sun spots. Im not saying that means there will definitely be a natural disaster, but solar activity has been linked to things like earthquakes before.
And it does seem that in recent years we are seeing a lot more natural disasters. Im not saying this has anything at all to do with the Mayan calender though. From what i understand the true interpretation of the Mayan calender is that the date, dec 21st 2012 is not the end of the world, it is the end of the old cycle or zodiac, and the beginning of a new one.

So will we need to develop a new calender or modify the current one? Are you saying that length of days and timing of seasons could change?

no. im saying people who act like they know for a fact that the date the mayan's predicted is going to be the end of the world are delusional or trying to profit off of the doomsday concept some how.

There is no proof that the Mayan's said this is the end. Most expert who interpreted it say that it is just the end of one of the cycles of the zodiac calender, not sure which one it is i don't really follow that stuff. Maybe Aquarius or something?

It is my personal "conspiracy" opinion that the elite's in control right now will not let 2012 slip by and not use it to create some sort of crisis, even if it is a fake crisis that they convince us is real through the media. More than any real event, im more so looking out for false flags or fear mongering in the media. Obviously they are already doing this with Iran.

Not really the government as you think of it.
I don't really have time to explain it all, but think of our government like the pyramid with the all seeing eye on it that is on the back of the dollar bill. There is a reason that symbol is used. It represents that everything in our government is compartmentalized, the lower on the pyramid you are, the less you know about whats going on at the top of the pyramid. And the higher up on the pyramid, the more elite scum you will find, and the value for human life goes way down as well. The eye at the top, those are the true elites who pull the strings in our government, as well as many other top governments. It is literally a geopolitical conspiracy. At the center of it are 3 city states. Washington D.C (which most american don't realize is it's own separate city state that follows a separate constitution), the inner city of London, and the Vatican. D.C is the military muscle, London is the financial, the Vatican is the Religion.
They use groups like the Bilderberg Group, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Tri-lateral commission, the Club of Rome and so on to infiltrate governments and corrupt them from the inside out. They are behind the economic turmoil because they own all the major banking cartels, they have infiltrated the government as i spoke of before, and they partner with the Military Industrial Complex to keep never ending wars and killing going.

So yes, i am worried about the elites who pull the strings causing some type of disaster, but the truth is they've done it before and basically gotten away with it. So there is no reason to think they won;t get away with it again.

gas prices is a horrible example Oggs... that started back in the early 2000s and has been going up and down ever since.
