| Duffee needs to find a home in an org where he can train with AKA and take on guys he should be fighting. Being KO fodder for top level HWs isn't going to make him better. Fedor puts him to sleep hard and then we've got a guy who will have been KO'd in 3 straight fights. That will certainly play with his psyche. He definitely needs to fight more composed than he did against Overeem here | |

He's not a man when it comes to M-1 he's their little whipping boy. They make him millions. They aren't exactly giving him the Don King treatment and bleeding him dry.

I think you are forgetting about Hershel Walker and Kimbo Slice, but that's OK.

| Duffee really needs to go back to being a prospect. The guy has the goods but UFC hyping him to the moon boosted his profile to where Ubereem's management and now Fedor's view him as a marketable fight when he really should not be fighting guys of that caliber yet...he'll get knocked out again.
the good news for Duffee is once he goes back to fighting middle of the pack guys like he should at this point in his career...it may come easy..or these can damage him.
Atleast he's probably making a ton of mone right now.

| I can understand wanting to defend Fedor, and this really is one of the better fights possible, but at the same time the flack from the anti Fedor camp is expected with this kind of shit. I mean, really, Todd Duffee? | |

Going with the trend of this thread, what better options would you suggest?

| Kingsown makes a good point, Duffee was being hyped, but he asked to be fast tracked after KOing a guy in 7 seconds and they did. And even Wolf is questioning this. But what is worse is claiming Fedor is still top 10 prospect? Really? Did you see those three fights when he fought 2 top ten prospects in his division subbed and TKO? Then to put an exclamation point on his career he got KTFO by a LHW in the 1st round. He is now fighting has beens and wannabes, yet some of you defend this as reasonable because? Oh, he doesn't want to play by the UFC rules. Well they got everything you want, but you are mad at them because they didn't want to co-promote. Enjoy his retirement tour kids and in a few years, when he has hung up his spurs and M-1 is on the same level as the Bodog Championships, don't say I didn't warn you. | |

| not a guy on a two fight losing streak. There are plenty of ranked guys in the top 50 on fight matrix. M1 has a HW champion. also some LHWs out there. BEs prospect watch. Duffee does kind of have a name. This fight still sucks ass. | |

Well if you really start to look at it, it's hard to find better options. You can't even name M-1 Champion, so how can you call him a worthy opponent? What LHW out there would be a better matchup? Fact remains Duffee has fought on the big stage, he has knock out power, strong as an ox and is much larger then Fedor. I asked you to provide better matchups, you didn't list a single name. Connect a name to those thoughts, it gets a little more challenging when you do that.

| I'd pick Duffee to beat plenty of guys on Fight Matrix's non UFC top 50. That site is a list of names in the ballpark area of where they should be ranked. Nothing more.
So how many of these guys do you think beat Duffee? These are the HWs, not with Bellator or Zuffa, fight matrix ranks higher than Duffee.
Eddie Sanchez - Maybe  Tony Lopez - No  Brett Rogers - Maybe  Peter Graham - No  Andrei Arlovski - Maybe  Damian Grabowski - Maybe probably  Tim Sylvia - No   Shamil Abdurahimov - Probably not  Jeff Monson - Probably not  Magomed Malikov - Probably not  Mike Whitehead - No  Tim Hague - No  Tyler East - No  Satoshi Ishii - No  Guram Gugenishvili - Maybe Probably  Bobby Brents - No  Dion Staring - No  Blagoi Ivanov - Maybe Probably  Jermaine Van Rooy - No  Michal Kita - No  Carmelo Marrero - No  Chris Barnett - No  Bobby Lashley - No  Kenny Garner - Probably not  Levan Razmadze - No  Maro Perak - No Ben Reiter - No  Mike Ciesnolevicz - No  Joe McCall - No  Magomed Abdurahimov - No  Alexei Kudin - No  John Brown - No

| This is just sad for Fedor's career, and the sport of MMA as a whole really. Not a single legit fight for Fedor outside of Zuffa besides that oppressive fat blog in Bellator. I donno emperor, call it a fuckin day or sign with Zuffa. I just can't get that excited about this. I know there are no other options, but really? | |

| Or in other words, these dudes are in my discussion. Would the beat Duffee? Maybe maybe not, but are they also any better a matchup for Fedor?
Eddie Sanchez - Maybe Brett Rogers - Maybe - Seen it Andrei Arlovski - Maybe - Seen it Damian Grabowski - Maybe probably Shamil Abdurahimov - Probably not Jeff Monson - Probably not - Seen it Magomed Malikov - Probably not Guram Gugenishvili - Maybe Probably Blagoi Ivanov - Maybe Probably Kenny Garner - Probably not

| I see your point OU, there really isn't anyone available who presents a challenge, who isn't in the UFC. So why not retire? This is turning into the old days when fighters would come into towns and take on the local tough guy. I mean he can make money elsewhere right? He is co-owner of a large MMA promotional company, isn't he? | |

That is what your bookmarked UFC.com wants you to believe. Plenty of UFC HW's would get washed out by some of those listed, Duffee included.

So you say he either plays the Zuffa game or he needs to call it quits? I think Fedor has earned the right to not fold to Zuffa's demands and continue to fight until he no longer has the passion to do so. Bellator is doing a "super fight" with Aoki and Alvarez. Why not Polar Bear vs Fedor eventually? It's possible. What about Sergei? Eventually the timing could be right for that fight too.

| I don't even know if Duffee would or wouldn't beat those guys. We've barely seen him fight. The only cool thing about this dude's entire career is the clown noise made at the end of that lookoutawhale video he was in. That's it. | |

| Earned the right? He has take millions of Pride fanboys on a circus tour of PPVs and each time he got paid big money and each time you got your practically guaranteed victory. When he finally does show up with an organization who isn't a 1 or 2 off PPV show, he goes 1-3. He earned the right to go off and do the freakshow circuit, he has used up that currency, don't you think? I say Wolf is right get in the game or get the fuck out! Because at this point, it is reaching epic loser proportions, for the former king of MMA. | |
