| White said Wednesday, "I guarantee you 1,000 percent that Dan Henderson is signed by Strikeforce."
...
"Honestly, I got a call from Dan's management a couple of days ago telling me Dan had turned down the UFC's offer," Coker said. "I guess the UFC made an offer and put a deadline on it. They turned it down and were calling to talk to me, but I told him I have this huge fight and there's a tremendous amount going on and I couldn't really deal with it at this point."
...
White said he wanted to re-sign Henderson, but not at the price Henderson proposed. Henderson had been in the mix to fight UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. White said he had no hard feelings toward Henderson.
"Dan and I have been friends and we will continue to be friends, but it just didn’t work out and he went to Strikeforce," White said.
Coker conceded he’d love to have Henderson under contract, but said White’s information is incorrect.

| We'll see.
I don't think the UFC promoter is the right guy to go to for inside information about the Strikeforce promotion, but obviously Dana is confident he will end up in SF.
Maybe if Coker is keeping something under wraps, we might hear an announcement on Saturday?

| The UFC would be daft to let Hendo go to Strikeforce . |

| If Hendo wants Liddell type money at this point in his career then he's nuts. | |

| I don't believe Hendo does want Chuck Liddell money. I don't think he would need to ask for Chuck Liddell money for UFC to snub him. I think if he asked for Frank Shamrock money the UFC would snub him because overall he's not THAT important considering he has already fought Anderson Silva. I bet he did not even want a half mill per fight, but something in the 250K range. Everybody thinks if the UFC does not pay them no one else could, but thats not the case, because UFC are tight asses if it does not include their top draws and unfortunatley for Hendo, he is not a top draw and UFC probably wanted to keep him at around 150K. That's just my opinion though. I don't think it's Hendo asking for too much so much as UFC is hardballing him, because Strikeforce would not attempt to get him if his asking price would make him the highest paid in UFC. There is no M-1 to pick up half of that tab. I bet Hendo would make around the same money as Frank in Strikeforce, and i think thats fair considering how valuble he would be to Strikeforce. | |

| Dan got 100K to show, 150K to win, & a 100K for KO of the night in his last fight. That's 350K for those with poor math skills.
The Rich fight wasn't listed, but I'd wager he got 100K to show and 150K to win. (250K)
At 88 he got 100K to show & 150K to win. (250K)
When he lost to Anderson he still got 100K to show and 70K for FOTN. (170K)
I have a hard time believing the UFC is no where near 250K, if that is indeed what Hendo is wanting.

| I'm not counting win bonuses or OTN bonuses. I'm talking about his to show pay, because the other things you are counting are not guaranteed and are only incentives that Dan probably has no problem with, Im sure the whole beef is about show pay. Nog made 250K just to show for 102, and i would not consider him a bigger draw than Dan Henderson. At this junture, id consider him less of a draw than Dan and he stands no higher in the UFC HW rankings than Dan stands in the MW rankings. You have the number yourself. Dan was in a main event title fight, and he made 170K. That's kind of a rip off when Nogueria did not even have to win a 3 round bout to make nearly 100K more. Hell, Wanderlei Silva makes 200K just to show as well, and Henderson destroyed him before these contracts were even made.
Henderson is worth more than 100K to show. He should be making around 200K just to show, especially after his stock went up after providing the most memorable moment of the biggest and most watched UFC PPV ever...but at 39 years old, already fought for the MW, and LHW title and lost, the UFC just rather let him walk than risk signing him to that kind of contract and perhaps see him lose to Nate Marquardt in his next fight, or to lose early to Anderson again. I doubt he wants Chuck money, or even Brock, GSP, BJ money. I just believe Dana thinks that will ease up the fans a little bit more by saying "He wanted Chuck money" rather than "Dan Henderson wanted Wanderlei and Big Nog money". I don't blame UFC, but i don't buy the whole "Chuck money" shit. It's a load if you ask me.

| According to Dana in an interview last week, Dan would be the highest paid base rate fighter in the UFC with the numbers he's asking for. It's Dana talking, so who knows. | |
