Was 59 here yesterday, fucking freezing.

I'd kill for just one week of roasting hot weather.

lol yeah I was talking to both of you. In the winter it's always below freezing and in the summer it's always over 100 and usually around 110.

I think we've had rain every day for the last 2 weeks... And it's all muggy and Scotish like. Killed the morel season


Thought I'd be able to spend more time on here with my new job but found out I have WAY more responsibilities than my old office job, which is the same thing I used to do. I have 12 trucks to dispatch and usually end up helping my co workers every day... Easily becoming the best at what I do in do office, first week my pay was 12/hour and right after that I got bumped up to 15... Ill take it! Miss hanging out here with y'all tho, miss talking mma like cray cray.

This has been a crazy couple of weeks. Still more shit to come. Just found out my aunt has stage 3 breast cancer. Next week my 5 year niece will have her thyroid removed, the same surgery I had when I was 12. She has the same thing I have(MENS-2) which can cause cancer and tumors in a couple places in the body. If she didn't have the surgery there is a 90% chance she would develop cancer in her thyroid.

I can barely take shit sometimes. It's all fucked up.

Weather has been fucked up. It's about to get crazy hot but there is still mad wind. Not good fishing conditions, not too good for hiking either. Cruise around the mountains and up Mt.Scott might be nice though. I'm hoping to land this bonus, if I do I'll probably be going to see my best friend who lives down in Dallas for the 4th of July and check out the fireworks show that Texas Rangers and Six Flags put on. Seen it about 15 years ago and it was the biggest fireworks show I have ever seen.

It's actually kind of a scary drive up Mt.Scott. Not much there keeping you from falling off the edge.

I'm gonna be in the mountains Sunday and am planning a hike through this old logger area called Central Camp.  Been a long time since I've been that way but it's a beaut!

Access to the forest back roads, fire roads and established jeep trails.

Most years the snowfall prevents any travel here until long into Spring.

Central Camp Road was a road originally used by loggers.  In 1921 a huge camp community was built by the Sugar Pine Lumber Company to log the forest. There were seventy buildings constructed and apparently money was no object at the time…11 million dollars were spent to operate, but after harvesting huge amounts of timber, the entire operation went bankrupt within nine years. Now the area is used as a summer cattle station.

Central Camp

The sign to Central Camp is marked further in as private property, but you may pass through. There an administrative looking building and a few cabins and the dirt road turns steeply to the left.

At one spot the road opens up to a horseshoe shaped canyon where you can see the road cut into the rock wall on the other side.

Either the Park Service or private citizens cut trees that cross the road.

Manzanita grows thickly on the roadside
The road winds higher and higher but the manzanita still grows lush and green on either side of the road. This could be Arctostaphylos patula or green leaf manzanita which is found over 5000 feet commonly and hugs the terrain, taking it’s shape.

That's some awesome shit right there. My mom went out to a couple national parks in Cali a couple years ago and saw some of those giant trees.

There are some awesome paths out at the Wildlife Refuge here and some falls and different kinds of stone and other areas like the 100 foot hole that are pretty amazing.
