One of my best friends is struggling hard right now. He is fighting a pill addiction right now even if he won't admit it. Same friend that was shot and has court coming up over that. He is stressed out, horrible home life. He talks about giving up sometimes which scares me, he also is way more fucked up on pills at times then he realizes/ will admit. I'm scared one of these days he will kill himself either by mistake or intentionally. But right now he just gets too defensive when trying to talk to him, if I push him I don't think it will do much good. But I hope I find the right time and right words in time.

Have you or his family tried an intervention ?

Whatever you do, don't do it the way they intervened on Frank in Sunny.
