| lost in the controversy was Cain' uber impressive performance. One can question the competition, but Cain is a buzz saw, no questioning that. | |

Yep. I actually took Rothwell in this fight mainly because I was unimpressed by Cain's performance against Kongo while Rothwell had been around the block a few times. But I'm definitely a believer now. I will say though that Cain still needs work on his stand up striking. He's not going to be able to just tackle guys and GnP them. That stuff won't work with more skilled HWs.

| Cain looked great and I believe he should get the winner of Brock vs Carwin and I believe he will. I thought he would beat Rothwell but had no idea he would dominate the way he did. | |

| Cain made a believer out of me last night. I knew he was good but I thought last night's fight would be at least very competitive. Cain is super strong to throw around a 265er like that. Heavy heavy hands too, dropping bombs. I wish he would've been fighting Carwin last night. I'd like to see him get one more quality win before a title shot but he's on his way. | |

| I think he still needs to beat another highly ranked guy before getting a title shot. His standup game looks like it has some glaring weaknesses but he's faced back to back guys with zero takedown defense. It will be interesting to see what the next step is | |

| We have plenty of contenders left in the Heavyweight division now. Cain seems to be leading the pack, but we still have Nog, Mir (if he beats Kongo), dos Santos (if he beats Gonzo). I say we should see Cain and Nog go at it. Nog doesn't have a fight scheduled as of yet, Cain took no damage so he can get in pretty soon, let's see it in January or February. | |

| I want Nog to fight the winner of Brock/Carwin, but Iw ouldn't complain about him fighting Cain.
Cain vs. Dos Santos makes the most sense from a title picture perspective, but I'd like to see him face a ground guy with submissions like Frank Mir.

I also don't think he beats Brock, but I think you underestimate his power. Your sayin Rothwell wasn't feeling those shots? Cause he looked like a beaten man after 1 round. sure Cain's more of a volume puncher, but he consistently puts himself in position to land clean shots, and the numerous clean shots without a doubt have effect. I think his bigger problem will be his inability to outwrestle Brock. But after this past performance I'd be interested in seeing it.

| id like to see him against Nog. I'd like to see his gameplan for that fight because we all know Nog has good standup, with excellent jiujitsu on the ground. Not sure if Cain would want to take him to the ground.
It'd make for an interresting fight IMO and after Nog's last fight, which was an impressive performance, I wouldnt mind seeing this fight at all.

| Questionable stop or not, Rothwell wasn't going to do anything other than continue to get his ass kicked. Cain was very impressive but I still think he needs a fight against a Mir, Nog or Dos Santos before getting a shot at the Lesnar/Carwin winner... | |

Cain Mir makes alot of sensse. I don't like the Nog fight because I think Nog has already earned his title shot. dos santos would be cool too, but doesn't seem to be a title elimanator type of fight.

How did Nog earn his title shot? Beating Randy Couture shouldn't be an immediate title shot worthy win.

| I do believe Rothwell is not the greatest competition. I think Kongo is better, but to destroy him like that is still quite impressive because he's definetly no slouch. Cain is for real and is still young. | |

As long as we're admitting his title fight is based on his resume and reputation and not on his actual recent accomplishments I guess I'm ok with it. Generally, though, I'm a "what have you done for me lately" guy, and Nog hasn't done enough for me personally.

| I don't agree with cain vs nog. Nog needs a title shot and cain really hasn't done anything to deserve Nog. Cain isn't ready for Nog anyway, the way he fights plays right into Nog's strength IMO. And how many buzzsaws are we going to put Santos through? He's fought Werdum, Cro Cop and now has to go through Gonzaga. As far as I'm concerned, if he gets through Gonz he's deserving of a title shot. Give Cain to Mir. | |

| Yeah, I admit that Nog deserves the title shot mainly on reputation. I know he doesn't have much left in the tank after the beatings he's taken over the years so I'd like to see him get his shot ASAP.
Cain is still so young. Let him take his lumps with top ten guys. And Kongo>Rothwell.
