Funny to me how their counter suit doesn't say anything about Reem supposedly lying about the contract dispute. If he's lying about that they need to include slander, they are just trying to say he owns them money, how surprising lol

But Reem never gave any details in the first place, he was so vague from the beggining that a slander case would prob be very difficult. But in the suit brought by GG, Im sure there was an agreement, and Reem is not living up to that agreement. Im pretty confident there are actual details in that suit.

Reem was in love with GG as they helped him go from also ran to top 3 in the world. Enter zuffa, and GG is a bunch of dicks. Shit took about a week.

Well isn't Overeem's perspective a conflict of interest now also? As in he is much less interested in obliging to the parameters of a contract he signed now that he makes more money and is not interested in anyone on his team that helped him get that raise in pay receiving more money as a result? It could be that Overeem is not lying about the contract dispute, and GG does not really need to stress that because it is in fact a contract. They probably do take 35 percent of his pre-tax purse but it seems like he signed a contract allowing them to do so...GG does not really need to defend the terms. They just need to defend whether they tricked him or not. Overeem may have trusted them too much, but it's not just their dick in his ass...his own is in there as well.

Is 35% alot? If that covers mgmt, training, travel expenses, etc? I really don't know, but it doesn't seem totally unreasonable. Agents here in the states get a nice cut.

Seems like a lot to me...but i don't know what the normal cut for an agent is. I thought it was like 10-15 percent.

That percentage means he has zero work related cost. Camp, trainers, medical, travel, licensing, etc.,.

25 to 35% is the norm in Europe I read.

That's what I'm saying, but we'll find out with this going to court so atleast at some point we'll know whos lying and I'll gladly admit that I was wrong if Reem is the liar I just don't think he's that dumb to just say fuck them over basically nothing after all the love he's given them over the years unless he really found out that they were doing shit he didn't know about.

i agree that you don't proclaim yourself a legend but he should have kept the stuff about financial issues with trainers to himself.

rutten hasn't got any right to be giving details of other peoples business to journalists like that. that's between overeem and his trainers and it's up to them to sort it out.
