| Royler Gracie black belt Vinny Magalhães is one of the grappling world's most accomplished athletes, in 2007 becoming the first Jiu-Jitsu No Gi World Champion in the Super Heavy Weight Division, and in 2009 taking bronze twice at the ADCCs, beating Rodrigo Cavaca,. Pe de Pano, and Dean Liste, among others.
He enjoyed less success in the UFC, losing his debut at the The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale against Ryan Bader. When in his next fight he lost by unanimous decision to Eliot Marshall, he was cut by the organization.
Since then he gone on a remarkable run, going 7-1, with five winsby submission and two knockouts, while dropping one by decision. In his second to last fight he became the M-1 Global Light Heavyweight Champion, scoring a submission victory over Viktor Nemkov. Magalhaes then went on to defend the M-1 Global Light Heavyweight Championship with a third round TKO victory over Mikhail Zayats, last Saturday.
Winning a title is usually a cause for celebration, but this is not always a usual sport. Magalhaes took to facebook, and vented his frustration.
"After rewatching the whole fight, i just realized that everytime i fought for M-1 against a Russian fighter, i was the hand picked guy... i mean, i am assuming that after seeing one of the M-1 directors rooting for my opponent everytime he'd hit me, but not having any reaction when i'd hit him nor when dropped him. Thanks M-1, i appreciate your business, you can have your belt back."
Vinny's intentions are now plain, given that he also tweeted a request to get back in the UFC just hours after his M-1 fight: Hey @danawhite, how many more wins do i need? @ufc in 2012 for me?

| Would love to see him back in the UFC, his striking has improved, that headkick KO was so unorthodox, he is definitely improving since I saw him last | |

| He was still very new to MMA when he got his chance on TUF. I'd like to see him back in the UFC. | |

| he has come a long way the past few years a lot of success time to step it up I guess. the public hearing of his business though kinda seems like it lacks maturity. | |

| That kick in this win by Vinny was sick! I hope the UFC picks him back up. I think he has made himself into a more complete fighter, and not just a BJJ ace. | |

| Magalhaes would fizzle out of the UFC just like he'll likely fizzle out of any other org, maybe even M-1 in given time.
Quotes like these make you want to see a guy knocked out before he ever gets to the UFC. It takes a real dick to act like he's too good for a belt after these guys gave you a platform on premium cable against a guy you should beat and you announce you want back in the org that deemed you unworthy and they can keep their cracker jack box toy belt.
I'm not sure if this guy would be all that successful in the MFC of all orgs, he would get smashed by more than half of the Bellator tournament...i guess i can see how he wants better than M-1..who for the most part has poor talent but this attitude screams unprofessionalism.

| I think he is better suited now to compete at a higher level than after TUF. He has some diverse finishes, I believe he has finished 7 of his last eight with a combination of KO's and Subs, and he just won the ADCC with a win over Fabricio Werdum in the finals. I can only think he has improved in the last 24 months enough so I would like to see what he has against some of the dudes who beat him out of the UFC who have looked less impressive as of late. | |

I disagree Kings. I don't want to see him get KO'd for this. He has a right to feel unwanted when the owner has cheered against him in numerous fights. How do you think a UFC fighter would feel if DW was cheering against them every time they sat and watched them fight? Furthermore, Vinny is a real good fighter. He has added alot to his striking game since being on the TUF finale. He got beat by Bader by KO. That fight could go different if they met up again. Vinny just beat Werdum a month ago in a grappling tournament and Werdum is alot bigger and a top HW BJJ guy. Vinny is alot better now and he can compete with guys in the 205lbs division in the UFC.

| Let me correct myself from the post where i said Magalhaes would lose in the MFC and Bellator...for some reason i was thinking he was at 185, i don't know why...he's at 205 and that changes statements like that..my bad. | |

Granted, i don't think White was starting Lesnar chants in the crowd but if i was Cain Velasquez and went back a saw the promoter looking like he wanted to throw up on the back of my head, i would probably be pretty miffed.

| I'm sure Cain hasn't forgot about that and I'm sure he did not appreciate it. But he has people around him that are smart enough to keep it off twitter. | |

| Being bummed over a cash cow getting beat is a big difference imo. How do you know DW didn't have a toothache, was sick, had a headache, heard someone had died, etc? Dana wasn't jumping up with joy and cheering for Lesnar and wouldn't have if Lesnar KO'd Cain. I think he is smarter then that. | |

LOL whatever. Dana wanted Brock to win, that face was a direct result of the fight.

| I don't get why you guys still root for M-1 they are crooked and hand pick fights for fighters unfairly. Tons of stories about these guys and people still don't get it. Let them die out. | |
