| He definitely comes in as an immediate contendor. It'll be interesting to see if he's developed a ground game during his time off...if not I'd still pick guys like Ben Henderson and Jamie Varner to beat him. | |

| If this kid is the future of the LW division in the WEC Roy Nelson is the future of the UFC HW division and Brian Stann is the future of the LHW division.
Not only was he smashed by Ryan Shultz who has since fallen out of the top 50 at this point, but he also has a severe neck injury leaving his right arm severely weakened(CSAC denied him a liscence earlier this year). This is a similar injury to the one that ruined Josh Burkman's career.
Also, I remember him taking some goofy pseudo MMA kickboxing bout where they allow takedowns or something and nothing else that he got knocked the fuck out in a couple years ago, after the IFL folded.
His ground game is weak in a division full of accomplished ground fighters like Henderson, Cowboy, Varner and others. Even if he wasn't injured, he wouldn't have much of a chance anyway with guys like that.
Crocop wins the HW title before this guy wins any Zuffa title. I read this guy is also working to become a paramedic. If he really wants to be in the cage after a title fight, his best chance is attending to Varner after Carrone KO's him next year.
