About a year and a half after they fought for the UFC welterweight crown, Georges St. Pierre has announced on twitter that he will be training with a former opponent to prepare for his UFC 137 bout against Carlos Condit:
@GeorgesStPierre Georges St-Pierre Guess who landed in town yesterday night to come train with me? for sure he'll bring the much needed intensity to get prepared...Dan Hardy!!!
Dan Hardy has fallen on rough times after getting fast tracked to that title shot, and is currently working to put an end to his 4-fight losing streak. He's taking some time off to reinvent himself, and training in Montreal would only help him salvage his UFC career.
@danhardymma Dan Hardy I can see why George is the champ, he has a great team around him. I've done one session and I'm already learning a lot.

It's been almost 2 years since Dan Hardy won a single round.

Good move for Hardy. You can tell how much Kenny's wrestling has improved in his time out in Montreal

It helps that Kenny's last fight was against a striker.
I'm sure any wrestling he has deveoped is insignificant. Kenny can go ahead and be Kenny at 145.

As for Hardy, it shows what a nice guy GSP is to waste his time with such a scrub.

His shot was way improved. You could tell it was definitely influenced in his time out there by the timing and explosiveness of it mixed with his striking. I have no doubt that Kenny will be trying to put Aldo on his back for 5 rounds

Most likely, I'm not picking him to win
But do you disagree that's probably what we're going to see from him?

I'm sure he'll try at some point but i don't think wrestling Aldo is going to be his gameplan because it's not really somethig Florian can point at and say that is an advantage for him. Is he a better wrestler than Aldo? It's not who he is, and wrestlers have not even been able to wrestle Aldo. Faber and Brown could not put the guy on his back, Hominick only did later in the fight when Aldo was running on fumes, which was mainly because he was sick and had a bad weight cut.

I am sorry, but on what fight exactly did Kenny show this improved wrestling from training at Tri Star? His first fight he trained there was for his fight with BJ and he could even get one takedown on 100 trys..then his wrestling didn't really come to play again until he faced Maynard who got almost every single takedown he went for.

His shot was pretty explosive and well-timed against Nunes. It wasn't forced and he was tying it in together well with his strikes, even on the ones he didn't complete. I didn't even realize he'd been training out there for that long but with no amount of training would I ever really expect him to have success and trying to get BJ down. He just fought like a puss against Maynard
