| Just wondering your thoughts. When it first started I know must of us thought it was an awesome idea but as its went on what do u guys think now? With the buyout, the upsets, and Reem getting out has this thing been a success or failure? I know its not over yet and the fights tonight could be absolutely sick but as of now what is your opinions? | |

| While it failed to meet expectations (Overeem v Werdum was boring & then Overeem pulling out) it has still been a success. | |

| It was suppose to determine the 2nd best HW in the world. It failed to do that because Overeem was pulled out and now it's not legitimate. The only way this tournament could rebound and gain hype again is if overeem loses to Brock. Still a interesting tournment and great fights so I am not complaining. | |

| Honestly, I think of it as a success. It has let us rank fighters, in perhaps the weakest division, honestly. If JDS worked Werdum, though his striking has improved significantly, what does that say about a K-1 fighter who took as good as he got from the same guy? Yet he won by 'the judges' card. But the Cormiers of the world get a shot at becoming 'The Next Big One' which makes it interesting. Though I think the bad part is that someone like Shane Del Rosario doesn't get to show what he had to offer. We already knew, if not admitted, about Fedor. | |

| I feel like it has been a failure but it has more to do with the length of this thing. It has been going on for it seems like 2 years and we are just not starting the 2nd round. I thought when it started we would see Overeem vs Fedor and when that didnt happen that was a let-down and then I thought hell well Werdum against Overeem will be a great fight and it didnt live up to the hype so then I thought well Big Foot vs Overeem should be a great match and then Overeem backs out. To me the negatives have far out weighed the positives and its been a failure. | |

In my mind it wasn't supposed to do that because I thought Cain and JDS were 1 and 2. Im my mind I saw it as a badass HW tourney and would crown a legit contender who may end up being #2. It still might do that. Who knows.

| Guess it'd be an argument on definition of top contender, but easily hoever wins should come to the UFC and get a crack or is only 1 win from getting a shot at the title. | |

| Neither, it's just become irrelevant with the Zuffa takeover and Fedor's demise. |

Sorry my friend I dont agree. Look at the rankings. There is no one. Brenden Schaub was literally going to be the best UFC fighter available if he beat Nog. The winner of the tournament is at most one fight away.

| I still don't think there is any question that the winner of this should get a UFC title shot, unless an alternate is strategically placed in the finals to negate that possibility. | |

| Depends who wins. Cormier was already acting like there wasn't a very good chance of a potential fight between him and Cain ever happening in an interview last night | |

Well that's one thing. If he were to be presented with the opportunity, who knows.

| I'm still hoping for Barnett to take this down but I think all 4 dudes left in it are in the UFC eventually anyway
Barnett-Silva with their recent beef would be the most entertaining build-up and a very interesting fight
