| - Quote :
- Former M-1 Global employee Jerry Millen, who isn’t on the good side of his former employer or White, told MMAWeekly.com, “It was huge, huge money, and nobody is talking about how much money it was because Dana doesn’t want his guys to know what they offered Fedor to fight. You can’t say you’ve offered a figher $4 million to $5 million to fight because of his fighters found out they would would freak out.”
White didn’t get into specific numbers, and did not substantiate any claims of $4 million to $5 million dollars per fight, but did indicate the amount was substantial; probably more than any one fighter has been offered from day one to compete in the UFC.
“More than he’s ever made in his entire career, and more than he will ever see in the rest of his life. I’ll say this, and I haven’t said this anywhere else, millions and millions of dollars,” White confirmed. http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news;_ylt=AmCjTI9R_CPe8DGTI.Jd4449Eo14?slug=mmaweekly-ce87f8917af0fc9b5acb793217984fce |

| M-1 got what they wanted. So Fedor is happy. I guess. Even though he's had his fucking ass kicked over and over. | |

| Surely this sum would have been over a period, they wouldn't have given Fedor this for one fight, would they ? |

| This is pointless BS.
Fedor may of hopped on that kind of money and signed with the UFC....but Fedor was under contract to somebody else and was not the one negotiating.
Legally, it was organization to organization negotiations. Fedor can't decide to just sign with UFC without M-1 agreeing to release him first. Do people still not understand this?
Just like if DREAM or whatever decided "hey, i think Lyoto Machida is worth Anderson Silva money. We'll give him Anderson Silva money"...will they be able to negotiate directly with Lyoto Machida or would they have to talk to the UFC first? Of course they would have to talk to those who have him under contract..no matter how much people want to piss and moan like it should have been different...M-1 having Fedor under contract was no different. Fedor was NOT a free agent. Dana knows this...he just knows a bunch of idiots..like the people who keep posting about this don't know that and he's still trying to shit on Fedor. | |

| Reading it again...i'm probably being a little hard on Dana here regarding this particular quote. He was just noting what he was willing to give Fedor based on Millens quotes. My bad..he does not really skip the story.
He was not really acting like that...but the overall point still stands just to re-establish that even if Fedor decided to take the money..it was not up to him just like it would not be up to any signed UFC fighter to take more money somewhere else without UFC agreeing to his release first. M-1 wanted something rare for MMA but their contractual rights to Fedor were still as strong as any contract.

| It was reported a 5 or 6 fight deal worth 30 mill back then, look it up, no one has said it's true one way or the other, who knows, but kind of believe in the offer. | |
