Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir III @ 140 ?

well back to the mma talk.....................i dont like this fight for either. i was hoping they would bring in someone like werdum or loser of bigfoot/cormier over. heck i would of liked winner of schaub/nog or winner of browne/Broughton to take on either.

At this point, I don't think many MMA fans are excited about this matchup. But it shouldn't be a shocker to anyone.

I really don't want to watch Brock beat Frank Mir up some more...

if frank can avoid a take down and a huge fucking IF and put some damn pressure on him he has a chance. We all know brock doesnt like to get hit so frank has to man up and go for broke.

Even if he avoids the takedown Brock will probably push him against the cage and beat on him like Carwin did. Mir is going to have to land that square shot and maybe jump on the sub like he did Kongo.

Let's also keep in mind this is Kevin Iole stating a rumor. He should stick to pro wrestling

Dana admitted the fans shot down the idea the last time it was rumored. Yet here we are again. The UFC wants Brock vs Mir III so badly despite there being no juice.

well like bobbitt is saying, source is shit and this is all just talk for right now.

the source might be shit but the UFC has been pushing for this fight for far too long for it not to happen

I think Brock should come back to an easier fight even though I would pick him to win here

I don't think Brock or the UFC want that. I think they both want the fast track to a title shot. Brock has never been interested in anyone but the big names anyways. Besides he isn't a young fighter, he was late to the game, coming off serious health problems and we really don't know how much longer he will be able to cash in on MMA.

UFC opted not to go through with it last time, but they may(if there is any fire behind this rumour)feel with Frank adding a good win since that fight got shot down and Brock coming off another long layoff that they are good to go making this fight no matter what the fans think.

Everybody knows the UFC wants this fight simply because they think Brock is this terrible matchup for Mir and they want Brock to win..but i still think Frank can beat Lesnar. I'd favor Lesnar but if Mir beats him in a rubber match...does that like, destroy Brock Lesnar completely?

i feel as if thats one of the most postive things you have ever said about brock.

Not feeling this.

I'd rather see Brock vs Carwin, Nog/Schaub winner, Nelson/Cro Cop winner, or Meathead/Kongo winner.

I like this fight today more than I did when it was last making it's rounds through the rumor mill.

This will be Brock's 7th UFC fight. 43% of his fights will be vs the same person. How ridiculous is that?

i dont like it either. the only thing that helps his status as a fighter though is that 71% of his fighting career he has been fighting guys in the top 10. not many can say that.

I'd like to see Brock with an easier fight. A confidence gainer. Mir could be that, the previous 2 fights suggest it, but Brocks confidence is no doubt shaken right now, Mir knows this and I think it helps his own confidence. Also Mir is much bigger now then in either of the two previous fights. His all getting big was done to match up with Brock. So I could see Mir being trouble here.


I'm no fan of brock, but I also think he has earned an easier fight. It will still sell, it will show the world he is back(I bet rogan yells it at one point), and the bigger fights will always be there(unless we think the UFC might be really worried that Brock has been broken as a fighter and think this is his last fight and their last Brock payday).

And Im also with the 43%-of-his-fights-vs-one-opponent criticism. That is a very strange number, even stranger when u consider the fans aren't into it. Bowling vs Voelker trilogy had a similar ratio on Bowlings part, which also was a fight no one was clamoring for. Gotta have that trilogy.

In the HW division, they can pretty much fast track him to a title shot anyway. Former champ, huge draw, and its certainly not like a lot of contenders are knocking on the door (until the SF guys start to move over)

I still would've liked to have seen a Rothwell type fight for him

Brock vs Meathead is my dream fight for him but I hope Brock vs Mir 3 happens just so it wont be rumored no more

Rothwell & Meat head are both very good options. I prefer meathead.

I think Meathead has to step up in competition if he beats Kongo so why not Brock?

Lot of hate for this fight but 4 pages? They already sucked you guys in LMAO.

I could live with Meat although I just see that turning into an early double and ensuing beatdown
