| http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=9711&zoneid=13First off I hope Diaz vs Heiron happens soon. Heiron is balking at the Nov date, and I don't blame him Strikeforce waited way too long to announce a date, and are still taking way to long to fill up the fight card. Though I don't blame Heiron, one still has to appreciate Diaz's "always ready to fight" mind set. 2nd, not to say they should pamper Diaz, but they really should be careful in terms of stepping on the toes of it's bigger stars. I know Diaz fucked their shit up the last time but the threat of bolting to the UFC is alway there. This goes for all it's fighters(Heiron talks about it a bit, and thus they need to be sure they live up to the agreement they signed him to), but especially the Team Gracie guys who are currently two big pillars for their org. | |

| They have pampered to Diaz about as much as they can. They have not stepped on his toes one bit. If anything, they are fucking with Jay Hieron. Hershman said Diaz can't be doing that and i'm sure Diaz agrees he can't be doing that shit. His reasons were legit. If he tested positive, missing a fight with Jay Hieron would have been the least of his worries...so blowing off the test was better for Nick and better for Strikeforce. It's not like Diaz-Hieron was the selling point of the Carano-Cyborg card, it's just too bad for Hieron.
Diaz can't just bolt to UFC. He can't do shit without Strikeforce agreement. He still has fights on the contract. The non exclusive thing in his contract says he can go fight for UFC, but SF can demand to co-promote that show and if UFC does not agree to that, Diaz can't fight for them...much like the Frank Shamrock/EliteXC thing. Coker already talked about this when asked about Diaz boxing, he pretty much says Diaz aint doing shit as long as he's their guy.

| doesn't he only ahve 2 fights left on his contract? He fights alot so if they keep talking shit about him then i wouldn't be surprised to see him go elsewhere. | |

Keep? When did they ever talk shit about him? Saying Diaz not fighting Hieron was "disappointing" is NOT talking shit, and it is disappointing and Diaz should know that. I doubt even Diaz is that fragile that he would think that is some sign of Strikeforce trashing him. Hieron has been the one talking and he's the one that should be pissed and counting the days untill he gets out of Strikeforce. Nick Diaz should have nothing to be pissed at Strikeforce about..they do have a reason to be pissed at Nick, but they did not do shit about it, so Nick should be happy that he's in an org that has his back. UFC would have released his ass if he just said fuck it to a drug test and Dana would have talked far more shit than a simple "disappointed".

| They've made some comments about how they dont think he takes fighting seriously, i read it somewhere. Yea he missed a drug test but get over it. Strikeforce needs Diaz alot more than he needs them. If they dont want him, every mma org out there will be competing to get him. Herschel Walker side shows aren't what people want to see. People want to see Diaz box people up and gogo dudes. Fuck if Heiron isn't ready to fight Diaz fins someone else. He wants to bitch about everything but when the fight is offered to him numerous times afterwards he's not ready. | |

| Sorry oggy, but your being biased. Nick is in the wrong. His reasons for dodging are legit to avoid bigger problems down the road but Hieron has every right to talk about Nick. Hieron signed with Strikeforce to fight this guy and Nick is nowhere to be found since it appears he's made little to no effort to get his license since skipping out on the drug test and you have not heard shit about him potentially fighting soon. It would be one thing to miss the card and then try to get your ass ready to fight the guy as soon as possible, but Nick has fallen off the face of the fuckin earth since then so yeah, people will question how much he really gives a fuck about his job. Especially when he's sounding off about going into boxing right now when that really can't happen.
As for SF, they could do without Nick. They are adding new talent everyday, they put on their biggest show yet WITHOUT Nick, and they are about to do a huge show on network TV WITHOUT Nick. I'd imagine after 2 more fights for Nick. Which is probably 6 months, they'll be even more conditioned to do WITHOUT Nick. Hershman made a good point. They don't really need a guy they can't depend on.
I love watching the guy fight, but he has no right to be upset at anybody. Of course, i have not heard anything about Diaz being upset at anybody. It's just his warwagon riders that seem to think SF is driving him away when all they want if for him to get his ass in the cage. Last i heard, Diaz apologized to Scott Coker.

| strikeforce does have the right to be pissed, but Gracie was pointing towards sf as to the reasoning why Diaz is not on the Nov card.
But my point is not whose right or wrong. Strikeforce needs to cater to it's bigger stars, and Diaz being buddies with Shields(who is always talkin about the UFC) and Melendez, makes it all the more important in this case. They need to do all they can to keep them happy. Otherwise they'll skip out. sf is not the UFC, they cannot be asswipes like Dana.
